Chapter 40: Chapter 40 - A Chat With The Head Captain

The whole area was drowned in suffocating silence, as the man in black, assumably the head captain, focused his gaze on Zyran. There was a sharp glint in his silver eyes as he analysed the boy that caused all this mess. But, if one were to focus hard enough, they would notice a hint of amusement in his eyes.

As for Zyran, he had an indifferent expression as he looked back at the head captain with a defiant stance. Even though his very soul felt uncomfortable in the presence of this man, he refused to back down. And even though the heavy feeling from before was no more, Zyran could still feel some of it pressing down on him. His right arm was placed behind his back, ready to ignite a burst of flames in case things turn ugly again.

With her head still lowered, Thea turned to Zyran and whispered, "Lower your head". Her tone was soft but hurried.
