Chapter 2: -Chapter 1-

-Chapter 1-

-6 moons later-

My name is Andrew, Andrew Akamanatufite. In my previous life, I had the fortune of being born into a wealthy family in my country, Burundi, but gradually, political instability led to several armed revolts, dragging my family into it despite our complete political neutrality.

What can I say about my life if not that I didn't really live? I died at the age of 17 without even finishing my studies.

For some reason, an entity that I can only call a god or a ROB gave me a second chance to live in a world I was absolutely a fan of... ASOIAF. How did I realize this while I was just an infant? Damn, because my father is Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince.

What a fucking poisoned gift.

Anyway, that's what I thought when I first heard the names Daemon, Viserys, Jaehaerys, Rhaenyra, Alysanne, and all the other actors and precursors of the greatest conflict in the history of House Targaryen. But once my cheat appeared, everything changed for me, and it all started with the birth of Urrax, my dragon.

-Flashback-

-2 moons after my birth-

While I was suckling at my mother's breast, I saw a message appear in front of me:

[Detection of a familiar]

I immediately stopped suckling and then I flailed about in all directions.

(my baby brain unable to handle all the joy I was feeling made me do really embarrassing things)

I immediately understood that the familiar mentioned in the message must undoubtedly be my dragon egg that had not yet hatched.

I stretched my hands towards the black egg laid by Dreamfyre.

(Daemon is unstoppable when it comes to boasting about the power and greatness of the illustrious House Targaryen)

My mother stopped the conversation she was having with my great-grandmother to ask me, "Do you want your egg?"

I smiled; it was a kind of special communication between us, she asked me by pointing at what I wanted and I smiled if it was yes and I cried if it was no.

I made sure not to do it with other people than her and my great-grandmother, who adored me above all. According to her, I was the reincarnation of her son and she treated me as such. I didn't want to become a demon in the eyes of the common people even before being able to defend myself.

That being said, I had a lot of trouble understanding what they were saying because I did not speak Valyrian, and Westerosii was a kind of bastardized and incomprehensible English that I gradually deciphered by listening to the conversations of my mother's and great-grandmother's nurses.

So, my mother leaned over to grab my dragon egg and then placed it on my lap; I laughed and clapped, which made them both laugh.

[A familiar is trying to establish a connection with you, do you accept?]

My first reflex was to say yes, but eventually, I waited because I didn't really know what was best—having my own dragon or taming a wild or riderless dragon on Dragonstone.

The advantage of birthing a dragon was that it would be bound to me and me alone forever, while the advantage of taming a wild or riderless dragon was having a weapon of mass destruction already operational and ready for combat.

The disadvantage of all this would be that I might not get my own dragon in the end because it wasn't me but the dragon that would make the choice. I wasn't arrogant enough to be sure that despite appearances, I am the protagonist and that I could have the cliché story of the OP reincarnated riding Cannibal and becoming king by effortlessly destroying all other dragons with this monster.

I had to take it step by step, and for now, the conflict that directly concerned me wouldn't happen for another 30 years, which left quite a bit of time for my dragon to grow up safely if I played my cards right.

"Yes" was finally my answer after a few moments of reflection, and then the shell broke as if by magic.

I looked up, shocked, at my mother and great-grandmother, who both had tears in their eyes, and then I screamed with joy (What my newborn brain makes me do) because several successive messages appeared before an attribute window materialized.
