Chapter 114: Metal Gear Sahelanthropus
POV Ventress
Reznov officially hired me to assist them in fighting their war. I didn't mind fighting in another war. The only real thing I was actually hired to do was pilot Sahelanthropus. That was exactly what I was doing right now. I was in the cockpit of Sahelanthropus.
'Hmm, this thing is actually not that hard to pilot. I wonder if I will be allowed to pilot it again.'
I was escorting members of Team Plasma to test this new superweapon. Our target was the second largest base the Russian Federation has left. I see the base ahead of me and I charge the Railgun and target the munitions depot.
POV General Ivan
I had been receiving baffling reports of a massive robot walking nearby. I was very close to executing the soldier reporting this info for being a spy but I held off.
BOOOOOOM
I was thrown out of my chair. Once I recovered I grabbed my pistol and looked around my room.
Widow: "Sir are you alright?"
Ivan: "Yes, I am fine but are we under enemy attack?"
Widow: "We are not certain a massive explosion came from the munitions depot but there have been no reports of an enemy attack."
I go over to the intercom and put the entire base on high alert. Once I am done I hear a roar of a creature I had never heard before.
ROOOOOOOOOOARRR!!!!!!!

Ivan: "What the hell was that?!"
Another widow bursts through the door to get to me.
Widow 2: "We need to leave now!"
Widow 1: "Why? What's happening out there?"
Widow 2: "A giant bipedal robot is attacking the base!"
I rush to the window and look outside and my face goes pale. What is smashing through the front gate is a massive robot of a size I have never even considered possible.
'If we can capture that robot we can conquer the world.'
Ivan: "We are not abandoning the base we must capture that robot."
I activate the intercom again.
Ivan: "All troops take down that monster and you will be given 1 Billion Rubles! Launch all jets! Use the tanks! I don't care how you do it just capture that robot!"
Widow 1: "Sir this is not advised we can't protect you against such a weapon."
Widow 2: "Indeed we should flee while we still can and if your soldiers capture the robot you can come back to claim it."
I think about what they are saying and think about whether I will still get credit if I flee the base.
'I will just have to silence some soldiers.'
Ivan: "Okay, let's evacuate. Where should we go?"
Widow 2: "That thing is covered in weapons if we try to fly away we will be shot down. We should evacuate to the bunker."
I nod and we flee.
POV Ventress
I was destroying everything that I came across but I saw the enemy had brought out some tanks and jets. I decided to use the Archaea Grenades. As the grenades detonate a massive orange cloud is released and all vehicles begin to rapidly rust. I see soldiers running away in fear from the cloud.
'They probably think it's some kind of poison gas. Whatever, makes my job easier.'
I activate the twin Gatling guns and mow down most of the fleeing soldiers. I then press a button and suddenly flames start shooting from the groin. I pause and remember that someone built that.
'Why would anyone make a groin flamethrower? Is it a reference to having a UTI? Such a strange invention. The creator must be a bit crazy.'
I watch as several jets corrode and crash into the ground. Some explode but some don't. All the vehicles are disabled and I am only attacked with the occasional rocket but they are rare as many were in the armory and munitions depot I annihilated in my first strike.
POV Ivan
I watch the camera feed as all the vehicles in the base begin to rust from the cloud the creature released rapidly. I shudder when I think about how I could have been in one of those had I not retreated to the bunker.
Widow 1: "What should we do? That thing can't be stopped and the only way out of here would be on foot. Which is impossible since it can move faster than us."
Widow 2: "That thing is too big to get down here so we should be fine to wait until it leaves."
Widow 1: "And if it doesn't leave?"
Widow 2: "We will get there when the time comes."
We watch for the next 30 minutes as it kills the last of the remaining soldiers. But suddenly we see something that makes our hearts drop.
Widow 2: "Crap, Team Galactic. Now there is no way out of here alive. They usually kill everyone and take away their bodies. If they are here then that robot must be a new secret weapon of theirs in which case they won't leave any witnesses."
Widow 1: "Then we go down fighting."
I grab my pistol and get ready to kill anyone who tries to breach the bunker. The camera feeds go down and we anticipate they will come here soon. Suddenly I hear movement outside the bulkhead door. Suddenly I felt something hit me.
POV Ventress
Ventress: "Targets captured. Moving to collect any intel they have."
The idiots thought I was going to go through the door. All I needed to do was knock them out with the Force and capture them. Which doesn't require me to open the door. I take the prisoners and hand them to Rio's clones. Once that is dealt with I move to write a report on the Sahelanthropus's performance.
POV Rio
I was looking over the performance report and the intelligence gained from our prisoners.
'Sahelanthropus performed great against the enemy and the Metallic Archaea worked as intended. It seems the Red Room has foolishly put all its eggs into the Russian Federation basket. If the Federation falls they will collapse with it. China is sending 6 more divisions to reinforce the Federation forces. It seems the president has offered massive incentives to China to continue to prop up his regime. The divisions will arrive in 2 weeks by this railroad.'
I think of a few ways to take out this massive train full of supplies and troops.
'There are no massive bridges I could take advantage of but maybe I could instead line most of the train with explosive tags. If we detonate it while it is still in Chinese territory then they would hold off from sending more troops until they can figure out who caused the bombing. Yes, I will send it to Rex and Tex to see what they think about it.'
After I am done reviewing the intel we gathered I think about summoning Darkness. I buy a background customizer and summon her.
'Her full name will be Lalatina Ford Dustiness. She is the head of the Dustiness Noble Family. She is a citizen of Germany. Net Worth of 90 Billion Euro. Is still technically a noble of Prussia. Currently owns the island of Rügen and is the Lady of said island. Is allowed to remain a noble thanks to her wealth and political influence. Her family was recently attacked and assassinated by radicals. This has allowed her to have emergency powers in her territory. Owns a castle in Rügen and lives there.Has strong ties to the Shadow family and has recently bought large amounts of robots from the Techno Union to defend her territory.'
After I finish I use my Palantir to find Darkness and teleport there. As I appear Darkness kneels before me.
Darkness: "Your Highness. I am honored you have summoned me to this new world. I swear on the Dustiness name that I will serve you faithfully and loyally from here on."
Rio: "Please rise Lalatina Ford Dustiness. I Rio Magus Crepusculum do accept your pledge of fidelity. Now that we are done with the formal stuff I want to discuss why I summoned you."
I sit down and Darkness does the same.
Rio: "I first want to make something very clear. I will not interfere with what you do in your alone time but I want you to swear upon your eternal soul that you will not act on your perverted desire in front of my children. If you cannot accept that I will have to ban you from ever meeting them."
Darkness seems to blush and I can sense she is embarrassed.
Darkness: "Ah, so you know about that. I understand what you are speaking of and I swear upon my eternal soul I shall not show such unbecoming behavior before your children or descendants."
I feel the magic oath take effect and I smile and nod.
Rio: "Thank you. I am not one to judge but I do not want my children to be exposed to such things. Hopefully ever. Now to move on from that topic I intend on having you work as a knight of my royal guard and as a possible diplomat. Geralt of Rivia will train you. He will train you in sword combat. I will be sending Sentinels and Mr. Handys here to assist you with maintaining this castle."
Darkness: "It is an honor, your highness. I will not disappoint you!"
Rio: "Good to hear. Now I hope we can drop most of the royal nonsense when we aren't in public. I ask this of all the summons. I hope we can be friends. Now take this datapad and learn everything it has. It will teach you everything you need to know about this world and what you will need to be wary of. I will say this right now. DO NOT underestimate an enemy here. Some of them can and will take your soul away and make it impossible for you to be resurrected. No matter how much you may like pain soul damage is unbearable."
Darkness gets a serious face and nods while taking the datapad. Once she takes the datapad I go home to continue my work for the day.

Thanks to The_top_hat_slime for the suggestion of what to do with Darkness. I remembered she was still very normal around royal family members so I figured it would fit. I wanted to show off the conflict in Russia as it is a civil war. That and Sahelanthropus is an interesting Metal Gear and is from a game I 100% completed so I wanted to show its abilities.
