Chapter 113: Troubles In Dreamland
POV Rio
I was exploring the Dream Realm fighting nightmares when I felt a disturbance. After dealing with the nightmare I looked around the Dream Realm but couldn't find the disturbance.
'This is the 3rd time this month. Yet, every time I go to investigate I find nothing. That and I have been seeing far more nightmares in New York than there were before. I know something is causing this but I can't figure out what.'
After a few more hours of fighting nightmares and finding nothing I decided to retire for the night.
POV ???
'Hmm, he is growing but he is still too inexperienced. I don't know enough about him yet. I need more time.'
I turn away from Rio as he leaves the Dream Realm and I go back to working on gathering strength.
POV Rio
I felt a chill down my spine as if someone was watching me just now. I looked around myself but sensed nothing.
'Perhaps, it was my imagination. Or whatever that was looking at me has moved their gaze elsewhere. I should be cautious as I feel something strong is growing but I know not from where it is coming.'
I check the time and see it is time to get up. As I try to move I see Fennekin is sleeping on my chest. I smile and shake my head.
'Cute little thing. Now I just need to move her like she is an Indiana Jones trap.'
I slowly move Fennekin off my back and use a spell to heat her bed before placing her there. I then sneak out of the room.
1 Hour Later...
I went to Sanctuary to discuss with the other mages what I had been feeling.
Sendak: "Hmm, that is most troubling. Your abilities of Precognition are greater than most mages I have ever heard of. While you may not see the threat coming I have no doubt you are feeling it's coming."
Simon: "What is more troubling is this being is possibly from the Dream Realm. From what I understand most of us are powerless in that realm. Perhaps we should prepare a device that can allow us to anchor the being away from the Dream Realm."
Valerica: "Hmm, while it could be possible, it is a risky move. Anchoring a being like what we theorize could make it have reality manipulation in this realm instead."
Serana: "Yes, but making an anchor would not be too difficult. It would be little different than binding a Daedra."
Rio: "I think it would be prudent to make an anchoring spell just in case. I also think I need to look into seals more. If this being is unstoppable by normal means then sealing them might be necessary."
Valerica: "Do you have any possible candidates of whom we may be fighting? Like a being similar to Vaermina."
Rio: "The only one I can think of is Nightmare the lord of the Nightmare Realm. It is also possible a Mutant from the nearby Universe is responsible. The issue is that few beings could cause issues in the Dream Realm and hide from me. While my special talent isn't dream magic. I still have near complete control of the Dream Realm."
Sendak: "Then we can only do our best. We should get to work."
POV Seto
Today was my day off and I was going to go flying with Bluey (Blue Eyes White Dragon) on Gaia. I still can't believe the gift Rio gave me. Bluey became my partner dragon. Our souls are now tied together and we can move to each other at a moment's notice. It also gives me the status of dragonkin. It doesn't do much other than make learning Dragon Magic easier but that is okay. All I care about is having a Blue-Eyes White Dragon as a partner. Which makes me think about Kisara.
'I am almost positive I know what Rio is doing but I have no evidence. I won't deny she is beautiful but we don't know each other well enough.'
A small part of me whispers that I should just get to know her better. I try to shake those thoughts out of my head.
'Forget it I am on my day off. Today is all about having fun and relaxing.'
I teleport to Bluey and freeze as I see Kisara talking to him.
'What is she doing here?'
(AN: Rio hasn't told Seto that Kisara is a Blue Eyes White Dragon in human form.)
Kisara sees me and waves at me.
Seto: "Kisara I am surprised to see you here."
Kisara: "I was chatting."
'I will never quite get used to how quiet and to the point she is.'
Seto: "I see. Hey, Bluey are you up for a fly today."
Bluey roars into the sky to indicate his approval. I hop on Bluey's back and see Kisara has a contemplative look.
Kisara: "Race?"
Seto: "Race, with what?"
She looks at Bluey and I start to understand what she is saying.
'I mean she is a summon so I guess it is possible she has some supernatural powers.'
Seto: "You really think you can outspeed Bluey? Fine, knock yourself out. I won't go easy on you."
Kisara gets a fierce look and I suddenly feel as if I might have made a mistake.
Kisara: "Ready."
Seto: "We will race to see who can get to Mount Elhoof. The last one there is a soft scale."
I use a dragon term meaning weak to get everyone fired up.
Seto: "On the count of three."

In a blast of air, we start flying. I look back with a confident smile when suddenly I see Kisara zoom past us.
Seto: "Don't let her beat us Bluey!"
We enter a state of union that allows us to combine our powers. We start to catch up with Kisara but as we are just passing her I see a cocky smile before she speeds up again. My eye twitches and I put all my energy into our link.
POV Rex
I received a report of several airborne objects breaking the sound barrier and I had to make sure we didn't have intruders.
Rex: "What idiot is flying without authorization!"
Fives: "It's not one of our craft."
Rex: "Pull up the visuals now!"
When the visual is pulled up I hear several people facepalm. I struggle to not sigh.
Rex: "Ignore them for now. I will give them a brief later and report this to Lord Rio."
Fives: "It was nice knowing them."
I give a pointed look.
Fives: "Cough. Uh, I just remembered I need to check on the Spartans."
Rex: "That's strange I thought the Spartans were on Earth right now."
I hear Echo snickering but he stops when I look at him.
Fives: "Uh, well um, look over there!"
I turn around and see that Seto had just flown under a bridge and soaked the men fishing there. When I looked back I saw Fives had vanished. I just sighed.
Rex: "Echo, go make sure those men are alright. Appo you are in charge while I am gone. From their trajectory, they are heading to Mt. Elhoof. I will go have a chat with them about flying recklessly on a military planet."
Echo and Appo: "Yes General!"
(AN: Rex was promoted to General based on his service and experience.)
I grumble to myself about civilians in a restricted area.
POV Tsunade
I had just finished work on my 4th patient of the day. I had recently been fully qualified to work as a doctor. I wasn't certain of what strings Rio pulled but I didn't care. I was cleared to use Healing Jutsus and my knowledge of healing in general to work. It was decided it was a calculated risk that was acceptable.
Patient: "Thank you lady Senju! I won't forget this."
Tsunade: "You are welcome. Now I am sorry but I must get ready to see my next patient."
My healing powers have already made me famous all over Asia. Slowly but surely my fame is spreading to the rest of the world. I did have to deal with the occasional kidnapping attempt but I put them down harshly and now few have tried again after no survivors were left.
'The robots from Rio do make it much easier. The Techno Union is world-renowned as the best robotics maker. That and the extreme capabilities of the Sentinels make few willing to attempt to get past them.'
I get cleaned and then take a glass of Sake and sip it. I had the next hour off and I was relaxing. I didn't even heal for the money as I had enough money to pay off my past life gambling debts a thousand times over. I just liked healing. I decided to read the file of my next patient.
'Hmm, so Shield has come for me already.'
My next patient was Nick Fury. I was a bit surprised he came to me directly but if I had to guess he didn't want to take a chance dealing with Sentinels since they will be able to identify him from their work under him. That and you can't disable a Sentinel without it blowing up. Or maybe he wants to approach me in a friendly manner. I walk into the room and see Fury sitting patiently.
Fury: "It is nice to meet you, Ms. Senju. I am Harold Smith I am here to see if you can heal my eye."
Tsunade: "Hmm, while I dislike patients lying to their doctor I won't press the issue. Let me see your eye."
Fury is good but I can still see a slight change in his demeanor. I approach him and see his eye injury. I use some diagnostic jutsus and learn everything I can.
Tsunade: "Hmm, I can maybe heal that injury but I will be blunt that it won't be easy. The thing that injured you has used what I can only describe as a curse or toxin. What I will have to do is remove the curse or toxin and then slowly repair the eye. It will hurt as no amount of anesthesia will dull the pain from removing the injury."
Fury: "How much will it cost?"
Tsunade: "I won't charge you too much as I like the challenge and you will suffer from the procedure."
Fury: "And if you fail to heal me?"
Tsunade: "There is no real risk. At worst, I would remove the eye and heal the areas around the eye. That being said you will pay upfront as I don't trust you to pay."
I left unsaid the reason but we both knew why. I handed him an estimated cost for him to consider.
Tsunade: "You are my last patient today. If you wish to undergo the procedure, contact my secretary and set up an appointment. Have a nice day, sir."
Fury: "You as well Ms. Tsunade."
I watch as Fury leaves and check for bugs. I didn't find any, which suggests that he was here on personal business and not Shield business.

Who is the mysterious being that Rio is looking for? Well, you will have to wait and find out. I wanted to do a summon-focused chapter and also do some foreshadowing. I hope you enjoyed the chapter and until next time Ciao.
