Chapter 50: Stubborn

Silence persisted for another five minutes while Keira thought about the situation. The head maid anxiously bit her lips, wanting the Miss to speak up as soon as possible.

Keira understood her anxiety. As hired workers, they were not allowed to overstep their boundaries and insert themselves into situations where the Masters didn't want them.

They can't call for a doctor without permission either…

"And what of Selene?"

For Keira, her anxiety shouldn't warrant the head maid approaching her instead of Selene. Selene was the closest to the three Young Masters, if they were to listen to anyone, it would be her.

"The Young Miss left for her birthday fittings earlier this morning." The head maid cleared her throat awkwardly. Everyone knew that Keira and Selene had some bad blood amongst them, making it awkward to talk about one to the other.
