Chapter 47: Suspicious

No matter how much she dreaded being alone with Dylan, his strange behavior made her curious. Keira followed after him, making her way to his study with tightness in her chest.

The entire household had become strange. A noticeable shift had happened while she was away, causing her to worry the more time she spent in the peculiar atmosphere.

The only people who had truly remained the same were Rania and Selene. It didn't matter how much Rania attempted to converse with Keira, her forceful attitude and controlling nature remained as usual.

"Have him wait outside." Dylan glanced at Jason, a slight scowl overtook his poker face while he held the door open.

Keira looked toward Jason, seeing him nod leaning against the wall beside the door. Keira liked Jason because of his easygoing and understanding nature, having him near her made the uneasiness in her heart dissipate.
