Amazing book, with a great plot, premise, and characters. Firstly, I really enjoy the themes that the author explores within this story. Themes of prejudice and dehumanization, as well as themes of justice and the harms of altruism. The author takes the time to dig into these themes through his characters, which are masterly crafted. All of the characters are interesting and a lot of them have been really well explored. Despite how early on it is, a lot of the characters are already very fleshed out. Hikaru and Suijin's altruism, Kamis struggle with self confidence, Raiden's battle with his mission v. self. Amazing characters for those who like that. There is also an amazing and unique magic system, that is akin to coding. I won't spoil, but it allows for some of the craziest spells and abilities to exist. "Mystic eyes of death perception", (yes, tsukihime reference) "Wandenreich", and lots of other insane abilities. Plot is interesting for sure, and we're still just in the first arc This review is not without critiques how ever, my main issue comes in the stability of updates, which is not that consistent yet, and the pacing in some parts of the chapter. All in all great story. I'd recommend you read it!

I really loved Archangels of War! The bond between Raiden and Kami felt so real, and their back-and-forth banter made me smile. The way magic is used in the story feels unique, and the world-building is vivid without being too heavy. It’s the perfect mix of action, mystery, and heartfelt moments. If you’re into fantasy with strong characters and an exciting plot, I’d definitely recommend it!
