Chapter 75: The trap

"Leave me alone," Ava hissed. "You can't force me." She finally tore her arm away from Dylan, her eyes sparking with defiance.

Dylan spun around, a simmering fury hardening his face. "Am I forcing you? Just remember—until our divorce is final, you're still my wife. And as long as that stands, you can't see another man."

"Really? Then what about you?" Ava spat, slamming the wine glass she was holding down onto the tray of the nearby waitress.

It was the same waitress Gianna had bribed. She had come to give Dylan a drink but found him in a heated argument with Ava. But she couldn't leave without carrying out her plan. She watched them keenly from under her lashes.

"You are with Gianna, aren't you?" Ava leaned closer, her words sharp and pointed. "You treat your mistress so well that you often forget you have a wife. I am doing the same. You shouldn't have a problem with that."
