Chapter 4: —[Chapter 4]—

" Is there a difference?" She asked.

" Sure there is...." And so our conversation went on, as I defended my harem dreams and Clarke pointed the hypocrisy of it and Octavia simply listened in almost contemplative of my words not actively flirting anymore.

Our conversation was paused by the others infront of us suddenly stopping and pointing out somewhere.

And there in the distance was a huge ass deer.

' Huh?....that's weird.' I thought watching the deer and froze as the others went low and watched the thing.

' Okay...there's something wrong, incredibly wrong here.' I thought as I watched the deer.

What should've been a mutated deer with a ugly ass mutated face was now a Regal White deer with clear crystal antlers and a soft mane on it.

" Wow...." Said Finn as he came closer and closer to the thing and accidentally broke a stick while doing so.

This had the effect of causing the deer to suddenly shoot its face towards us, it's red eyes blared at us and then a sudden feeling of danger.

' Oh fuck...' I thought.

" Run!" I shouted as the deer suddenly started running towards us and with each step frost would build up on the place it stepped on.

" What?" Asked Monty as they were suddenly broken out of their stupor.

" Run! I'll pull it's attention, you run towards mount weather, I'll find you!" I shouted and ran towards the deer.

" Wait! Darius!" " No!" Two feminine voices shouted behind me as I ran at a sprint towards the thing.

' Show time!' I thought looking back at the running silhouettes of the others, even if some were more reluctant then others.

Not caring I simply when I got close to the deer started skidding on the ground and slid right under it in one smooth motion.

This was possible due to how big it was.

I then stood up and looked behind me as the thing suddenly stopped with a huff of frost and looked at me with eyes like saucers.

' Well, here we go!' I thought as I fell on my knees and pressed my hands on the ground and pumped mana into the ground, I pumped as much mana as I could and then with the use of [Plant Control] the trees around us started screeching now under my command for as long as my mana can keep up.

"HAAAAAAAR!" Came the weird scriel of the deer of which I gave no fucks about, the air suddenly went cold and surrounding frost to pick up though.

Instead I focused on the roots under us, there were lots of those and just as the deer was sprinting right at us I began.

" Fuuuuuck!" I screamed feeling the 'heavy' pressure of using my ability at this level but it payed off.

*SCHLOOOOCH*

An amalgamation of roots twisting into one spear tipped form broke through the earth beneath the deer and proceeded to spear itself through the deer with little resistance.

*HEEEAAAAR!*

The thing tried to thrash around and remove itself from my roots but I would not let that happen.

I looked at how much Mana I had left and grinned.

[MP: 989/2,200]

Just enough, I hoped.

And so I had the roots suddenly grow out of the ground and latch and spread around the deer, this had the effect of trapping the deers mobility as it suddenly stopped thrashing and then I had the roots tighten strangling the thing.

With the roots strengthened by mana due to my ability this had the effect of making this easy.

I focused more on the roots around its neck then anything and after a minute the thing suddenly stopped contracting and then a screen appeared infront of my eyes.

[—You have killed a Snow-Touched Deerling: +8,000EXP]

[—You currently have no class!]

[—Activating the class selection menu.]

[—Choose your class!

—Warrior

—Mage

—[]—

' Oh shit...I did it.' I thought breathing in a bit deeply as I stared at the dead body of the deer with a grin but I didn't ponder on that for too long as instead focused on the class selection.

A part of me said I should choose the mage route but logically I knew that choosing the warrior route would help out immensely due to how much it would help me teach the other 100 fighting skills in order to survive.

So I chose it after a couple moment's of thought.

—[Ding! You've chosen Warrior]

' Oh...' I thought as a sudden torrent of knowledge assaulted me.

I stayed at that spot for a couple moments just absorbing the knowledge before I was finally done, next i opened up my skills.
