Chapter 63: The Goblins Third Rebellion?

---

"Boom"

The wizards, who were busy shopping and enjoying the festive atmosphere, were suddenly thrown into confusion by the loud explosion.

For a moment, everyone was stunned, unsure of what to do.

Even the Aurors patrolling Diagon Alley were caught off guard.

Ever since Voldemort's demise, such violent incidents had become rare in the British wizarding world. And this was Diagon Alley, no less—the bustling heart of the magical community.

Looking at the direction of the explosion had occurred, It was at Gringotts, the most secure location in the wizarding world.

"All Saints members, prepare for battle!"

"Follow me and stay alert!"

Dyroth, who had anticipated something of this sort, quickly shook off his feigned shock and immediately led a group of Saints members into action.

After leaving some Saints to maintain order at the shop, a larger group followed Dyroth toward Gringotts, surrounding it from all sides.

No one noticed that Vinda, along with a smaller group of Saints, had discreetly slipped inside the chaos.

Dyroth wasn't worried about Vinda's involvement. He had only asked her to create confusion and disarray, aiming to tarnish Gringotts' reputation further.

Gringotts had been attacked twice in a short time, and the goblins had lost many gold Galleons.

Something was wrong and the goblins could feel it.

"What are you trying to do, gathering all these people here?"

"Robbery?"

Before Dyroth could step inside Gringotts, several goblins rushed out, blocking the Saints at the entrance with looks of fury.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Goblin," Dyroth said calmly, his voice laced with politeness. "We heard an explosion from inside Gringotts and came to see if there was anything we could assist with."

Whenever he was in the public eye, Dyroth always displayed the utmost courtesy, far different from the sneering pure-blood families or the money-hungry goblins of Gringotts.

"No need! No one is allowed in Gringotts! Please leave at once!"

"Of course, sir," Dyroth replied, turning away without argument. His goal had been achieved—Vinda had successfully infiltrated the bank unnoticed, and prolonging the confrontation would only arouse suspicion.

But to the surrounding wizards, Dyroth's retreat wasn't viewed as simple.

His image as a polite and gentle young man had long won over the hearts of many, especially compared to the haughty pure-bloods and the greedy goblins.

In fact, a large number of wizards were now siding with him.

"A bunch of ungrateful goblins! Mr. Grindelwald came here to help, and instead of thanking him, you kicked him out? How dare you!"

"Who knows what's going on inside? Maybe those goblins are the real thieves, shouting to catch the thief!"

"I bet they are! Goblins are always eyeing the Galleons in our pockets. They won't even let anyone in, so they must be hiding something!"

The goblins became increasingly agitated and, in a fit of rage, rushed out of Gringotts to confront the wizards who were accusing them.

"Bombarda!"

Dyroth flicked his wand, casting a loud and powerful explosion charm at the entrance of Gringotts. The blast startled the goblins, who immediately froze in their tracks.

"Goblins, are you trying to start a third rebellion?"

With that one sentence, the lead goblin turned pale, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead. Meanwhile, every wizard in the vicinity raised their wands, their eyes full of suspicion and hostility.

There had been two goblin rebellions in the wizarding world, one in the sixteenth century and another in the eighteenth century. Both wars had resulted in significant losses for the wizarding community, and the goblins had been forced into submission, clinging to Gringotts for survival.

But tensions between goblins and wizards had never fully dissipated, and many believed that goblins were still harboring plans to overthrow wizard rule.

Suddenly, flashes of light erupted from the surrounding area as several reporters, sensing the opportunity for a major scoop, began snapping pictures of the scene.

They had only come to Diagon Alley to do some shopping, but they had stumbled upon a front-page-worthy story.

Whether it was Gringotts being attacked or the standoff brewing in front of it, this was the kind of news that would sell out the papers!

"I... I... respected wizard, I was just overly excited. Please, don't misunderstand!"

"We'll leave immediately, right now!"

A group of goblins, terrified by Dyroth's words and the escalating tension, hastily retreated back into the bank without daring to say another word.

"Thank you for your help," Dyroth said graciously, bowing slightly to the surrounding wizards. His humble gesture won him even more favor.

"You're welcome, Mr. Grindelwald! It's the least we could do."

"Exactly! I've always hated those goblins anyway!"

"I don't know what Gringotts is up to, but I'm withdrawing all my Galleons as soon as I can. They can't be trusted!"

The mood toward Gringotts had soured considerably.

At that moment, the Aurors finally arrived on the scene, led by none other than Scrimgeour.

The Head Auror's face darkened when he saw Dyroth and the Saints gathered in front of Gringotts.

He immediately drew his wand.

"Mr. Grindelwald, you need to explain why you're here."

Scrimgeour had never been fond of the Saints group, and despite Fudge's warnings, he frequently sent agents to investigate their activities.

But before Dyroth could respond, the wizards around him sprang to his defense.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"I'll tell you what, you aren't representing the British Ministry of Magic anymore!"

"Lower your wand or..!"

Scrimgeour was taken aback by the intensity of the reaction. In mere moments, dozens of wizards had surrounded the Aurors, wands raised and ready.

These wizards had witnessed Dyroth rush to help, even at the risk of offending Gringotts. They saw him like a protective spell for the whole wizarding community.

Now, the Aurors were threatening him? This was unacceptable!

"What are you going to do?" Scrimgeour yelled. "I am the Head Auror of the Ministry of Magic!"

"Put your wands down!"

But no one listened. If anything, the wands glowed brighter with threatening spells.

Aurors around him braced themselves for the worst.

"Stop! I'm ordering you as the Head Auror! This is a serious offense!"

Despite his desperate shouting, the wizards refused to stand down.

Seeing the situation escalate, Dyroth gently raised his right hand.

"Stop it," he said calmly.

At once, the wizards lowered their wands, heeding his words without hesitation.

"Put them down."

"Listen to Mr. Grindelwald."

One by one, the crowd dispersed, while some muttered insults under their breath toward Scrimgeour.

Scrimgeour stood frozen, speechless.

He had shouted himself hoarse with no results, but with one simple command, Dyroth had defused the entire situation. How was it that a shop owner held more sway than he, the Head Auror?
