Chapter 28: Braised Pork in a Can

Su Yinhe was eating up a storm.

Over at Li Qiao' side, things were even more heated.

"Old Li, am I seeing this right? This is white rice! It's so beautiful. Are these canned braised eggs and cold dishes also for us? Pinch me, I'm not dreaming, right?" Heizi stared at the five rice cookers filled with rice and at the cans and dishes, swallowing his saliva frantically.

He had thought that the buns he had eaten in the morning were already a delicacy.

At noon, he didn't ask for anything else, just to have another meal of buns and to eat his fill would be enough.

If he was full from these two meals, perhaps he wouldn't need to eat tomorrow and could save a meal.

Plus, Heizi had a bit of selfishness.

He had been too busy eating in the morning and forgotten to secretly save one or two buns.

He was thinking if there were as many white buns at noon, he could keep one or two to take back to his wife and children.
