Chapter 43: Nobles metting (Part 5)

Marta looked Valery up and down. 

'She has changed...' thought Marta impressed with Valery's changes, so impressed that she had to look her up and down again.

Her smile was elegant, a soft smile different from the big smile Valery had the last time she saw her. Her eyes were calm, but importantly, no one was looking at her or her companions. She behaved as if she, her friend, did not exist.

Valery was wearing a beautiful crimson red dress with golden decorations.

She looked much more mature, compared to herself Marta looked like a little girl who barely managed to walk in a world of adults.

What has happened to me' she thought in frustration and slight stress, the more she saw Valery, the closer she got. The more upset she felt.

Valery kept walking and her eyes were still not looking at her....
