Chapter 9: Chapter - 9 Detrimental Decisions

Ferdinand's Point Of View

The anger I felt was consuming, the disgusting piece of filth looking up at me was the cause. Sylvester had taken away my outlet for my anger shooting that bastard manager before I could, and now the only one left had information that I needed.

"Tell me how to become his mate. I don't have the best patience, so talk fast." I demanded.

"Mmm... and why should I tell you anything? You don't have the best genes to be his mate. You're too volatile." The man said.

"Maybe I'll let you live if you do. Maybe I'll work on my short temper just for Tristan. Maybe I won't blow the whistle on your inhumane research in Delgaide." I retorted.

"Inhumane? Tell me son, where do you think we receive our funding from? That institution isn't the only one, it's just the most successful. I'm not the only one who knows about that special Omega I created. He's so perfect, I'd keep him all to myself if it were possible. His creation was a stroke of pure luck. 1 out of over 500 Omegas, the Golden Goose of Delgaide. The more he is exposed to the public, the harder it will be to keep him away from the powers that be." The man explained, with a disgusting lustful look in his eyes.

I wanted to gouge them out. I wanted to geld this man and watch him bleed out slowly. My patience was wearing thin, and this scumbag was saying all the wrong shit.

"Are you aware of the Omega shortage that's threatening the nation boy? The amount of Alphas in this world, greatly overshadows the Omegas, tenfold. So the government concocted a solution, a stop gap, if you will. Splice DNA and create Omegas, obviously it would need to be done covertly. Useless protesters and sympathizers would run amuk if they knew." The man continued speaking, while wrapping his leg tightly in his torn pant leg material.

"Alphas can no longer procreate with any other beings except Omegas. The fear of not being able to continue their blood line even through another Alpha, sent the government into a frenzy. So to keep the peace, institutions like Daize Omega Zine, were created. It was rough in the beginning, but after 30 years of trying we finally succeeded in making the ultimate genetic blueprint, Tristan."

"You're not answering my question. I don't care for your ignorant history lesson. He's a person, with feelings, and a will of his own. You can't just take that away!" I yelled, getting even more irritated.

This man kept referring to Tristan like he was just some machine put together. Like whatever he said or did was inconsequential to the larger issue, but that wasn't Tristan's problem to solve.

"Haaa... to be young and naive. There were many reasons to keep Tristan locked up at the institute. The main one being, anyone who knew his genealogy would want to keep him to be bred. Like I said, government funding comes at a price. Even if you mate with him, it won't stop his pheromones. If anything they'll be worse, stronger even. He'd crave the cock of the closest Alpha, hell even the betas would start drooling for him. The chances of him getting pregnant while in heat are 100 to 1. All it takes is one time, one ejaculation into that perfectly tight hole and he'll be pregnant."

My anger boiled over as the man licked his lips, and rubbed his still throbbing erection. I wouldn't stand here and listen to his nonsense anymore.

*BLAM*

"AHHH! YOU STUPID BRAT! LISTEN WHEN ADULTS ARE TRYING TO SPEAK!"

Growing weary of his disgusting bullshit, I shot the man in his thigh. I had 16 bullets left, he'd be riddled with holes if he kept this up. But I wouldn't kill him until he told me what I wanted to know.

"I thought I told you? I'm not a very patient man." I said, stepping on his fresh wound.

"ACK! Y-You can't mate him alone... Ugh! You will need to mate him... with at least three others... Ngh!... but e-even then you will still need a fifth Dominant Alpha... his pheromones... will become erratic without... Hngh... a fifth Alpha... Hahaha but if you tell him... he has to screw four Alphas and... get marked by all 4.... he will run for sure... there's no worse hell for Tristan... Ungh... I assure you..." The man said through pained groans.

"Explain the process properly or I'm putting a bullet in your other thigh!" I yelled.

He was saying what I wanted, but not how it had to be done. I wasn't worried about the amount of Alphas needed. I was worried about how to go about it.

"Ngh! Fucking BRAT! Listen, five Alphas will need to force his heat... with a combination of their pheromones... Once he is in heat... he will need to trigger your ruts... All 5 Dominant Alphas will need to take him... in order of strongest to weakest... Biting in that order on his nape, right shoulder, left shoulder, right wrist, and left wrist... the problem will be the knotting... he will need to withstand the knot of 5 Alphas without passing out... once he passes out his pheromones will diminish... and your ruts won't be strong enough." The man said, with a pained smug look on his face.

"Why all at once? What happens if we do it one at a time?" I asked, not understanding.

"If it's not done all at the same time, his body will reject the other markings until he becomes pregnant. But by then I doubt you'd be willing to let him take on multiple Alphas during their rut, while he's pregnant! Haha Ugh! Shit... if you don't mate him with 4 other Alphas, then his pheromones will become uncontrollably active, basically calling out to find the other Alphas to complete him. Haha what will you do? Let him run? Or force him against his will?" The man laughed mockingly.

"Well since you gave me valuable advice I suppose you are of no use to me anymore. Without you, that filthy institution won't be able to remain in business either. I see no downside to your death." I said, aiming my gun at his chest.

"Hahaha! So naive! Did you not listen to a word I said? Like the mythical beasts hydras, cut off one head and two more will grow in its place. I can assure you, I was the most considerate man that wanted Tristan. Without me to keep the wolves at bay, Tristan will become a milking cow within a years time. After all, who do you think it was that made all this possible? The first to come for him will be Omega Zeta Kai... After all the Omegas taught by me are second to none! Who do you think taught him how to properly suck a cock? How to seduce an Alpha? How to be a good little slut? The future that the powers that be want for him, involve him being in heat constantly. Tied to a bed, taking cock and having his cock milked until he dies. Whether he's pregnant or not."

"Boss! Sylvester is waiting. What should we do?" Two of my men called out from the door.

"Call the boys and have them clean up this mess!" I said.

*BLAM... BLAM... BLAM... BLAM...*

I fired into the man's chest. I couldn't risk Tristan's safety and allow him to live. I turned and headed towards the door, and heard a groan to my left. It was the bastard manager. I smiled slowly at my luck. Tristan's beautiful pale skin had been marred by this bastard, just because this man wanted to hurt him. It was unforgivable.

"Hngh... D-Don't do this... I was tricked by that asshole... H-Help me..." He wheezed out.

"You hurt Tristan. That is an unforgivable offense." I said, watching the light fade out of his eyes and turn into terror.

I took out my double edge hunter's knife, and stabbed him in the groin, the gut, then slit his throat to shut him up and finally stabbed upwards into the bottom of his jaw then walked away.

"Dominic call at least 15 guys to help get it done faster. After all, many hands make less work." I said to one of my men.

"Ah! Boss here, wipe your hands and face. And leave your jacket. Your covered in blood." Zambian called after me.

I thanked him and complied, Tristan was waiting for me and I wouldn't make him wait any longer. I walked out the main doors, noticing the club was completely empty. Then stopped short when I noticed my right hand man, and 2nd lieutenant standing outside the van.

"Raihne? Payhne? Why are you here?" I asked.

"Sylvester called us, said Dominic and Zambian would be too busy cleaning up your rampage to drive you back." Raihne said.

"He also said he didn't trust anyone else to drive you. Since we'll die if his secrets get out... I don't know who this he is, but it sounded pretty serious so, here we are." Payhne said.

"Thanks. Take us to the Golden Lion. Pay no attention to what you might here in the back okay? Seriously, I'd hate to have to kill you guys." I said, before climbing into the back of the van.

"So you guys are from Delgaide? Fuck... that makes so much more sense now..." I heard Sylvester say to Delcain, as I got into the van.

"Enough Syl. We can talk once we get back." I said, as the other two men climbed into the van.

"Delcain said my pheromones might have made him pass out. He apparently doesn't handle stress very well. We also have a lot to discuss when we get back." Sylvester said.

"Ok I have a lot to tell you too... we might not have a choice but to let him run..." I said on a pained groan.

Both Delcain and Sylvester looked at me in shock, mouths agape. I understood, I did, but the look in Tristan's eyes as he stood in the elevator was still haunting me. He looked like he was torn between leaving forever and obeying my request.

"I know... I'm not even sure I can. But he'll hate us if we don't. Reality will be too much for him. He's strong, but not fearless. I care about him too much to hurt him that way. But if he stays I'll cave for sure." I said, running my hands through my hair.

"He told you, huh? That stupid bastard should have taken it to his grave. He no doubt left out crucial information and told half truths. He's that kind of man... Mating with Tristan will be next to impossible. Just so you know..." Delcain said.

"So you know?" Sylvester asked.

"It's one of the reasons I will protect him with my life. It's also why he doesn't know much about his genealogy. I just couldn't bring myself to tell him either. I have no doubt when he wakes up, he's going to spiral out of control with all the information that bastard forced on him. To make matters worse, the way he told him, and what he was doing when he told him will resurface when he remembers..." Delcain said, with a tearful sigh.

We pulled up to The Golden Lion, Tristan was still fast asleep in Sylvester's arms. I wanted to grant his every wish, but I also didn't want to lose him. His mental health was volatile at best, and I had no idea how to help him. After climbing out of the van, I went to take Tristan from Sylvester, but was stopped by Delcain.

"He's a heavy sleeper, but not when it comes to pheromones... Sylvester will have to hold him until he wakes up... Cole and Bellamy probably already know this, since they've been in our apartment but, Tristan had planned to run away today. We only went to clean out our lockers and possibly make some tips to give the kids time to pack as well... I know you like him, hell maybe even love him... but he doesn't understand what that means, just as much as he doesn't grasp his own beauty. His mother was beautiful beyond words, and as you can imagine his blissful personality took that as normal. Just... if you care about him let him sleep." Delcain said, putting his forehead against Tristan's before climbing out of the van.

I agreed and began walking towards the building. Before we could reach the doors, there came the screeching of tires and a loud scream.

"BROTHER!"

"BIG BROTHER!!"

We turned to see Tristan's little sisters running up to Delcain. Their eyes were red and puffy, evident that they had done nothing but cry for a while now.

"I'm so glad you guys are okay. I missed you so much!" Delcain said, kneeling down and hugging them both.

As someone who didn't have any siblings, seeing their love for each other made my chest tighten. Even more so, when you factored in the horror filled childhood they all shared.

"Where's big brother Tristan? Is he okay?! Did they take him?!" The little one with soft orange hair asked, looking panicked.

"No. He's sleeping so we have to be quiet and let him sleep. Big brother had a hard time, he had to deal with... 'Father'... so we should do all we can to let him sleep for as long as possible okay? Can you do that for me?" Delcain whispered, and the two girls turned pale at the name, Father. Proof that he was every bit the monster, and even these little ones knew it.

I would cherish these girls just as Tristan did, it was clear they were his world. They deserved to be protected, and spoiled.

"Hey, my name is Ferdinand, do you want to go up with us and see something really awesome?" I asked them.

They looked a little skeptical, turned to look at Delcain who nodded, and then beamed such adorable smiles I immediately understood why Tristan worked as hard as he did.

"Well come on then. Who wants to ride on my shoulders?" I asked.

"Meee!" The one with mauve colored hair exclaimed, then covered her mouth and looked over to where Tristan was still sleeping.

"I'm too big to sit up there... I'll hold your hand... if I can..." The one with soft orange hair said.

"Nonsense I'll carry you both. I'm plenty strong... Now which one of you is Arrisa?" I asked, sitting the smaller one on my right shoulder.

"Me." She whispered in my ear.

"Ah I see. Well Sable, do you want to ride on my shoulder too?" I asked.

"C-Can I?" She asked, eyes shining.

"Absolutely." I said, hoisting her up and sitting her on my left shoulder.

"It's so high up!" She said, grabbing the arm I had wrapped around her waist.

"You're going to have to duck once we get to the doors okay?" I said, as I began walking again. She laid her head atop mine instead, evidently afraid of heights.

"How's Kaleb doing?" I heard Delcain ask, as we entered the hotel.

"He lost a bit of blood but Cole stopped the bleeding and wrapped it up tightly. We'll have to call a physician and sedate him to give him stitches. But we at least got the bullet out." Bellamy replied, looking down at the sleeping boy in his arms.

Delcain let out a sigh of relief as he climbed into the elevator. Cole took the card from Bellamy's pocket and slid it into the slot. When the elevator began to ascend the girls covered their mouths to keep from screaming.

"Sylvester, you can take him to his room once we get there. We'll have our meeting there while the kids play. Bellamy put Kaleb in the room across from Tristan's and call Stellah so she can stitch him up. Raihne, Payhne, you're on babysitting duty. Give these girls whatever they want, and play with them. Treat them like the princesses they are, don't let them get a single scratch. If you do, you'll have to answer to Tristan, and I will not help you. Understood?" Everyone nodded in agreement.

"Sable, why do Raihne and Payhne look like each other? It's really creepy, I can't tell who's who!" Arrisa whispered loudly.

"Because they are twins. They were born at the same time, and grew in their mommy's belly together as babies." I whispered back, making her look at the two men with shining eyes.

The elevator chimed, we all exited, and Bellamy and Sylvester immediately went to the rooms I mentioned. Meanwhile, I took the girls over to the window to show them the view.

"Whoa! You can see everything from here!" Arrisa said.

"It's so pretty! Del! Del! Look we're so high up!!" Sable exclaimed.

I let the girls get down so they could explore, telling them not to go into Kaleb's room or Tristan's room until they woke up.

"Okay girls, the adults have to go have a meeting now, if you want anything just ask Raihne or Payhne to get it for you. You can order all the food you want." I said, patting them both on the head.

"Tristan makes the best food... I wouldn't know what to eat..." Sable said with a pout.

"How about cake and ice cream?" I suggested.

"Yay! Okay!" They both exclaimed.

"Raihne, Payhne, take care of them okay?" I said.

"Yeah. You got it boss." They replied.

"Delcain, come with me." I said.

Sylvester's Point Of View

Tristan was still sleeping in my arms, his face twisting in discomfort every now and then. Each time his face would scrunch up as if he were about to cry. It would be adorable if it weren't so damn sad. Whatever he was dreaming about couldn't be good, and who could blame him? The sight I had walked into barely an hour ago, was enough to make me loose my mind in pure unadulterated rage. I wanted to kill those men ten times over, once was not good enough.

I couldn't explain what it was that made me like him so much from the beginning. It wasn't anything as shallow as his beautiful looks, or his piercing hazel-green eyes. It was more internal, his fierce and charming personality. His strong will, and unyielding determination. His adorable smile that could light up a room, and his adorable timid nature that made my dark impulses explode.

All of these things drove me to cherish and protect him while showing him all the things he never got to enjoy growing up. I wanted to be a reliable Alpha he could depend on. I had never felt this way towards anyone else before. I was notorious for being the Heartbreaker Playboy. I didn't even care about having to share him, if anything it was comforting to know he also had Cole, Ferdinand, and Bellamy to lean on, and that they too would cherish him just as much.

The door opened and Ferdinand, Cole, Delcain, and Bellamy filed into the room taking seats where they could. Ferdinand and Bellamy sat on the bed, Delcain pulled up a chair next to mine, and Cole sat on a dresser near the door.

"Okay, we have to discuss the best future for Tristan. You should also be made aware that there is more than one institution like the one in Delgaide." Ferdinand said, opening up the conversation.

"I can't believe he's from Delgaide, lead alone that there are more of those places." Cole said with a troubled sigh.

"The director told you there was more than one facility?" Delcain asked, shocked.

"Yeah, Delgaide is just the most successful one. Not only that, but they are apparently government funded." Ferdinand added.

This declaration sucked the air out of the room. If the public knew, there would be riots in the streets. Taxpayer's corra was being spent on inhumane research, it was the mother of all scandals.

"But why? How could the people in power sign off on something so terrible!?" Delcain whispered harshly.

"There is an epidemic going on, we learned about it in school, but I never thought it was as bad as this. About three decades ago the Alphas reproductive gene was all but nonexistent. Alphas can no longer procreate with any other species but Omegas, and as you've no doubt noticed, there aren't that many Omegas around to begin with. Honestly, there might be less Omegas in Sayenrio than there are in the institution you came from." Ferdinand said.

"Worst of all is that, the creation of Omegas wasn't the end goal. They were trying to make the ultimate Omega. One who could produce only Alphas and Omegas." Ferdinand continued.

"And they succeeded..." Delcain added, eyes tearing up.

"Seriously!? How many? Have you met one?" Cole asked, clearly not abreast of the situation.

Delcain said nothing. He looked over at Tristan, played with the ends of his hair, while his tears flowed freely. You could tell exactly what he was thinking, and how much it was breaking his heart knowing what he knew.

"No fucking way!" Cole whispered.

"The problem is, they didn't exactly keep his birth or information hidden. So not only does the government know about his existence, but so do the other facilities. If word gets out that he escaped, it will turn into a free-for-all, with everyone trying to claim him." Ferdinand said, struggling to remain calm.

"He is the prize, his DNA is the blueprint. On top of it all, even if he does become pregnant, that would not end his suffering. They can use his sperm to artificially inseminate Dominant Omegas and have the same effect as getting him pregnant. You should know, that no amount of mating will change his constitution." Delcain said, wiping his tears but struggling to hold them in.

"What do you mean? You said it'd be next to impossible... Why?" Ferdinand asked, leaning forward.

"The mated Alphas would always feel the unnatural pull to breed him any time they are around him. The urge won't be as bad if he's pregnant, but that would imply he would need to be pregnant all year every year. The only way to negate the pull is to constantly inject him or yourselves with inhibitors and suppressants. But the owner of B&G Pharmaceuticals can tell you why that's a bad idea." Delcain replied.

"Yeah dear Gods, I shudder at the thought. Not only the side effects, but your body would quickly build up an immunity to the injections. All but rendering them useless in less than a year." Bellamy agreed.

"Is it true that there have to be 5 Dominant Alphas in order to complete the mating?" Ferdinand asked, looking worried.

"Haa... what a bastard. Did he think to prolong Tristan's suffering by making you think that? Ugh... disgusting. The short answer is no, since Ferdinand is a Hyper-Dominant Alpha 4 of you could potentially complete it. The problem is the act itself..." Delcain said, drawing his knees to his chest and wrapping his arms around them.

"What do you mean?" Bellamy asked.

"Convincing Tristan is less than half of the battle." Delcain said, taking a deep breath.

"Yeah I doubt he would ever agree to anything like what that asshole mentioned." Ferdinand added.

"I'm not sure on the details but, his pheromones sent you all into a rut yesterday right?" Delcain asked.

"Yeah, I didn't have a grasp on my sanity until I ejaculated. It was pretty terrifying seeing him pass out like that. The post-nut clarity was awful, the guilt almost killed me." I said, rubbing Tristan's cheek.

"Tristan not knowing about his own constitution sent him spiraling, it's why he fled as soon as he regained consciousness. I suspect that his body enjoyed it, perhaps even craved more of it, but he probably couldn't come to terms with the new thoughts, cravings, and needs and it scared him. He probably felt like he was going to turn into his mother. Because for him, you don't need to love someone to have sex with them... put it like this, for nearly 13 years he watched his mother go out every weekend just to get screwed by multiple Alphas. Seraphine was smarter than the institution, she would be sure to take morning after pills after each night. She couldn't handle birthing another child like Tristan." The pain in Delcain's voice and etched on his face was gut wrenching.

"She never told him," Delcain continued, "but after they found out Tristan had the perfect genome, they forced Alphas on her for days. She made up a story about being too sick to come back to him. But they had tried to force a second pregnancy on her when Tristan was only 5 years old. After that she had an Alpha bring her morning after pills in bulk, and paid him money and with her body. Since the Alphas aren't told anything about the institution, they just assume it was just another whore house in the red-light district. He didn't want to father any kids so he didn't have a problem giving them to her."

"I almost wish I could have met her, she sounds incredibly brave and smart." Bellamy said.

"Yeah, Auntie Seraphine was amazing. But when Tristan got older, something changed. The tests they would conduct on him changed, his mindset changed as well. That's when he started trying to escape, he started resisting his tests, and began to get violent whenever they came to drag him away. My mother told me then, about his constitution. About how to save him, and how impossible it would be, because of what they did to him."

"Explain a little more on why it's impossible, do you mean he won't want to?" Cole asked.

"Tell me something, if you were told you had to mate up to 5 Alphas and endure knotting with each one without passing out. Would you do it? Even if those Alphas couldn't control themselves because your pheromones put them in a frenzied state? To add insult to injury, you had to endure their markings all in consecutive order, but your heats wouldn't actually get better. Even if there's love involved, could you actually make him understand your feelings? Knowing what you know about him, do you think he'd agree to it?" Delcain asked seriously, his tears falling faster.

"There's no way... he could barely handle Ferdinand. Lead alone all of us. And to what end? What's the point of mating if it doesn't improve his heat cycle?" I asked, not understanding why they would create an Omega like this.

"Tristan was never meant to love. He was never meant to leave that institution. Do you not remember what they were trying to accomplish? The director made it painfully clear to Tristan today. He was created for one purpose, to be bred. To have children, more specifically to have children just like him that could have children just like them, and so on. Mating with Tristan ensures four things, the Alphas wouldn't have to have their ruts forced, Tristan wouldn't need to be in heat to get pregnant, the ruts of an Alpha won't be mindless, and the gene quality of his children would be the best quality anyone could hope to have. Just one of his children would be worth a king's ransom." Delcain said, listing them off with his fingers.

"I want to let him run, but I'm worried that he'd easily be captured in another city. Let's face it, he doesn't exactly blend in. It's amazing he's lasted this long." Ferdinand said.

"So we're basically damned if we do, damned if we don't?" Cole asked.

"I gotta admit, I want to cherish him... there's no way I could let him run away. I don't care what any of you say, I'd follow him to the ends of the world to ensure his safety and happiness. I'll just have to rely on Delcain to shoot me with a tranquilizer if I go into rut or something. I don't know, but I know for damn sure I can never allow him to be subjected to another Barthélemy or Director. Do you know how close I came to gouging out their eyes and peeling off their skin today?! They just stood there and let it all happen, ignored him completely like he wasn't human. I just... I just can't fucking let it go. I want to resurrect them just to kill them again!" I said, feeling my blood boil again.

"Ngh... Syl...ves...ter... calm down... it's too... much..." Tristan groaned in his sleep, making the whole room go silent. I reigned in my anger and tried to control my pheromones.

"Mmm... see... better..." He said, giving a goofy grin still asleep.

"Yeah, no. I won't let him go. Fuck you for thinking that you could Mr. Catatonic!" I whispered harshly at Ferdinand.

He drove us nuts this morning trying to find information on Tristan and where he lived. We banned him from going all together, but when Cole was tagged in a social media post about being seen at the amusement park with a breathtaking beauty of an Omega, we quickly relented and let him go.

We were almost too late, we were lucky that director guy was such a depraved asshole, because had he just snatched Tristan up, we would have been too late. That thought alone made me never want to carelessly let him out of my sight again.

"I hear what your saying but... while he's awake, being exposed to his pheromones for an hour or more will induce your ruts, always. The longer you're around him the more insatiable you will become. His body will likewise respond to your pheromones, and since it's clear he doesn't hate you guys he will give in every time. Then have a melt down afterwards because he cannot handle the reality of his body. He becomes unhinged when he feels powerless, he can't help it. The tests they did on the regular Omegas in that place were awful. I can't imagine how much worse his were." Delcain said, now looking more serious than ever.

"Umm... do you mind elaborating on what kind of tests they would do? If it makes you uncomfortable you don't have to say..." Cole asked, looking afraid of the answer.

"Well for the boys, they would lock us in a room saturated in strong pheromones, to gage how long it would take us to go into heat. They would strap us down and draw blood before, and after. Once in heat they would stimulate our erections to collect our sperm to run tests. They would also insure we had proper endogenous zones. For 3 hours a day 3 days a week we endured those tests. It was how they divided us into Dominant and Recessive Omegas." Delcain replied, looking sick at the unearthed memories.

"But then Tristan..." Bellamy trailed off his worry evident on his face.

"Yes, as you no doubt discovered Tristan can withstand the average pheromones, I heard he withstood all of yours before as well. Meaning the tests they subjected him to were far worse and lasted for more than 6 hours. They would also run said tests 4 days out of the week. My mother said... Tristan was taught in the ways of serving... it was far worse than anything you could imagine. From age 13 to 17, he suffered those tests, so when he asked me to escape with him I never hesitated." Delcain said, clenching his fists.

"He can take Ferdinand's pheromones head on... so... that means... Ugh... that's so fucked up..." Cole said, looking crestfallen.

"Well we will get nowhere without his input at this point. Just know that I'll support any decision he makes... I would follow him through the gates of the underworld... I just want you guys to be ready for whatever he decides." Delcain said, standing up and heading for the door.

"Listen I hear what you're saying, but there isn't an option to run... after that bastard is deemed missing the government will get involved. I get the feeling that you guys don't know much about the government, but as the son of a member I can assure you there isn't a single Omega who can't be tracked down by them..." Cole said, tears forming in his eyes.

Delcain stopped dead in his tracks. He turned to face Cole, eyes wide. He looked back at Tristan with a pained expression.

"Well when he wakes up, I'll leave it up to you to explain that to him. He'll do anything for his siblings, even leave us behind here if he thought it would give us a fighting chance. Just... be careful of what you say... I'm going to go check up on kaleb." He said, looking afraid and wounded.

Once the door was closed a deafening silence fell over the room. No one wanted to say what they wanted. No one wanted to be that guy. I looked down at Tristan in my arms and noticed the tears falling down his cheeks and flinched. I wiped his tears, but they just kept falling.

"Ngh... Mom... I'm sorry... please don't... don't leave... me..." Tristan groaned in his sleep.

"It's okay Tristan... Everything will be okay." I said, hugging him close. I would rather die than let him suffer anymore. He deserved to be loved and cherished even if his body didn't agree. Something gnawed at me about his mating though, like there was something that wasn't being said properly to anyone.

It was just a gut feeling, but it sounded absurd that a Hyper-Dominant Alpha's marking, along with three Dominant Alpha's marking wouldn't have a stabilizing ability. An Omega always in heat would surely try to end things, whether permanently or otherwise. Mentally they would break down and deteriorate much too fast. On top of which, male Omega pregnancies were extremely dangerous. I just couldn't shake the feeling that we were missing something crucial.

"Hngh... Sylvester... so warm... but I... can't breathe!" Tristan said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Ah! Sorry Tristan... Good Morning..." I said looking at his eyes. They glistened with tears, but the adorable confused look on his face was nearly my undoing.

"Haah... you guys saved me didn't you? I'm incredibly grateful. Seriously, I was... I was so s-scared." He said, squeezing me in a tight hug.

"Yeah, any time. I'm sorry you had to see me snap like that." I said, hugging him back after giving him a deep kiss.

"AH! Where's Ferdinand?! Is he okay?" Tristan said, panicking.

Ferdinand's pheromones gently wafted through the room, and Tristan immediately relaxed. I stood up and walked towards Ferdinand. I still wanted to hold him, however I knew Ferdinand was dying to hold him too. I had never seen him look so broken, like he did this morning. Not even when his parents were killed, he looked like his whole world was ending. I handed Tristan over to Ferdinand with an understanding nod.

"Ferdinand you saved me too right!? That wasn't me just imagining things right? Thank you... I'm sorry I ran away... I'm sorry I subconsciously blamed you for yesterday... I'm sorry I'm so ignorant about how my own body works... I'm sorry that I–"

"It's okay... please don't apologize... I'm just glad you're safe okay?" Ferdinand said, hugging Tristan tightly.

"I promise I'll work on my overprotective, overbearing, and clingy personality... if it... bothers you..." Ferdinand said into Tristan's neck.

"Oh! Bellamy? Cole? Did they get my siblings?" He asked, trying to look past Ferdinand's hair.

Bellamy and Cole both let their presence be known with their pheromones, then came over and kissed him one after another.

"Your adorable sister's are in the living room playing with Raihne and Payhne. Probably still eating cake and ice-cream. I'll go get them if you want me to." Ferdinand offered.

"No, not yet... I'd like to stay like this for a while... I... don't think I could handle their questions right now... how's Delcain? I bet he's still holding in his grief and worrying about everyone else. Ugh... I don't think I can face him either..." Tristan said, tears in his eyes.

"He was here, he went to go look after Kaleb." I said.

"Ungh... Kaleb's gonna hate me too..." Tristan said, turning into Ferdinand's chest.

"What do you mean? What happened?" Bellamy asked, stroking Tristan's hair.

"The director... he killed their mothers. They waited for Auntie Josephine to give birth, she ended up having a daughter... they killed Kaleb's mother, Auntie Korrahline, just because he ran. I could never bring myself to tell him..." Tristan said, crying.

"Tristan, it's not your fault. They all made the decision to go with you, knowing what the consequences could be. They may be sad, but they could never blame you. Honestly, Delcain was really worried about you. He cared more about you than his situation, so cheer up a little. They love you too much to hate you." Ferdinand said.

"Thanks... but that's not... completely accurate..." Tristan replied.

Tristan looked defeated, it wasn't the time to discuss the serious topic at hand. Or so I thought, but he blew us all away by his question.

"My body is unnatural... it will always send you guys into a rut... I don't want that... but I'm too scared to run away now... they found me because of jealous Omegas... what if they find me again? Kaleb was hurt, next time it could be the girls... I'm seriously messed up... should I just run? Will I cause you too many problems... I'm scared though... what should I do?" He asked, looking like he was about to have a panic attack.

"I can't speak for the other guys but I'll tell you this much if you run, I'm running with you. I wouldn't be able to sleep thinking someone might be making you suffer again." I said with a shrug, taking a seat again.

"We found out that there is more than one facility. Also that they are being secretly funded by the government. If that truly is the case, there's no where an Omega can go where the government won't find you... meaning you probably shouldn't work anywhere anymore. You should also close out your bank account and empty your apartment..." Cole said, looking serious.

"I suspect that bastard director was running interference, that's why you could work freely for two years... but he's gone now, once that's made public they will all clamor to get you." Ferdinand said, rubbing Tristan's cheek.

"What do you mean by running interference? Are you saying he let me be free, just to make me let down my guard? That doesn't make sense..." Tristan asked, looking scared.

"No, I mean he never reported that you were missing, so they probably assumed you were still at the facility." Ferdinand answered.

This time, realization dawned on his face, and then pure terror washed over him. It was like being told to give up, and accept his fate. One way or another he was going to lose a part of himself no matter what he chose to do.

"Look I'm not going to say anything fluffy or bullshit it for you, reality is too cruel for niceties. I can't promise you my ruts won't be crazy, I can't promise you I won't lose my mind, I can't even promise you that I subconsciously won't try to trigger you on purpose, but I can promise I will like you the same no matter what. I will cherish you no matter what. I will protect you and your siblings with my life, and I guarantee every guy in this room feels the same way. I can't explain it and I don't want these to just be cheap empty words, but I'll support you forever. I'll even try to work on an injection to help you, at my company. I'll do anything to keep you smiling, so please give us the chance to love you unconditionally." Bellamy said, kneeling and taking Tristan's hand.

"Why does it always feel like a proposal and a threat when you guys say stuff like that? You, Cole, Ferdinand everytime... are you guys aware your eyes start glowing when you say stuff like that? I never know what to say to that kind of stuff. I'm too fucked up to believe you guys, and I feel like an asshole because I can't just accept it. Even though you look sincere, and even though it doesn't feel like a lie. It would hurt so much more if it turned out to be a lie... you know?" Tristan said, tears falling.

"Well then I guess we will have to spend the rest of our lives showing you, and proving to you how much we care about you then," I said standing up and walking towards him. I took his chin and kissed him deeply, then wiped his tears. "Just be patient okay? We will give it our all... Welp this conversation is getting too deep for me, I'm gonna go get a drink now. I can't calm down and my need to kill is rising. I don't want to hurt the guy I like, call me if you need me." I said, kissing him one last time before leaving the room.

I couldn't accept the things they had done to him. I felt murderous every time he felt afraid to just exist. I could feel my mood darkening with every step I took away from the door. I reached the living room and almost couldn't believe my eyes, Arrisa was asleep on Payhne's back while he colored with Sable and Raihne. I quietly walked to the bar and grabbed a beer from the mini fridge. Then walked back around the counter and sat on a stool.

"Mr. Sylvester sir?" I heard a small voice to my left and looked down. It was Sable holding something behind her back.

"What is it, Princess Adorable?" I asked.

"I heard you saved Big Brother Tristan... So I drew you a picture... will you accept it?" She asked, eyes shining while still hiding the picture.

"Of course! Let's see it then, I might frame it and put it on my wal–" My words were cut off when she showed me the picture. It was of a midnight black, panther prowling, while baring it's teeth in a forest. It was amazing, and it definitely matched my mood. I was putting it on my wall for sure.

"This is incredible Sable, we'll need to get you Pseudo name so you can make a killing selling your art. You could support your big brother with this art work! You're amazing Sable! Did you draw one for Ferdinand too?" I asked.

I was a little relieved and a little jealous when she replied that she had. Ferdinand would definitely sulk if he didn't get one. She had drawn a tiger prowling in the tall grass, it was beautiful.

"This is awesome too, he'll love it for sure." I said, ruffling her hair.

Yeah, I'll do anything to protect these kids... they deserve the finest things in life.
