Chapter 113: Ch.113 Invitation!

"Your Highness, you've been away from the country for too long. Now that the Hidden Leaf's shinobi school is on break, you should take this opportunity to return and reassure the people!"

"Yes, Your Highness, the rogue members of the Yellow Springs Cult have been acting suspiciously, and the country needs you!"

"The outpost near the sealing grounds has raised several alarms recently, reporting sightings of enemies spying nearby. Your Highness, this concerns the safety of the Land of Demons!"

The attendants, all kneeling on the ground, surrounded Shion.

Shion pouted, "I don't want to go back!"

Seeing her resistance, one attendant pleaded, "It's just a brief visit to handle the country's affairs. Once it's dealt with, you can return to the shinobi school to continue your studies!"

"Really?"

The attendants nodded eagerly, "Of course! Your studies at the Hidden Leaf's shinobi school benefit the safety of the Land of Demons as well."

Shion thought for a moment, then asked, "Can I invite some friends to come back with me?"

"You certainly can!"

As long as they could convince Shion to return and manage her responsibilities, they'd even be willing to organize a group trip with all the students from the shinobi school to the Land of Demons.

Shion grinned and said, "Alright, I'll agree then!"

With that, she happily headed out.

The first person she wanted to invite was naturally Uchiha Shinji, but as she walked through the streets, she began to hesitate.

She figured that with Shinji's personality, he'd probably refuse her invitation to visit the Land of Demons.

"That guy will definitely complain about the Land of Demons being too far away and blah blah… Hmph, I'll invite others first. Once everyone agrees, I'll ask him last!"

Having made up her mind, Shion first visited Kurama Yakumo's house.

After listening to Shion's invitation, Yakumo politely bowed and replied, "I'm afraid my body isn't strong enough to endure such a long journey. I'm sorry."

Shion then headed to another teammate's place.

Kimimaro frowned slightly. "The Land of Demons? I'm not interested."

Leaving Kimimaro's apartment, Shion was visibly annoyed. "How could they all be so ungrateful? Hmph, I refuse to believe no one will accept my invitation to visit the Land of Demons!"

Next, she arrived at Sasuke's house.

After hearing her out, Sasuke shook his head. "I need to train, I don't have time."

At Tenten's place.

Tenten shrugged helplessly. "The Land of Demons, huh? I'd actually love to travel abroad, but I promised to help Neji with his training, so I really can't."

At Neji's house.

While practicing his Gentle Fist, Neji said, "Thank you for the offer, but my schedule is already packed this holiday."

Suppressing his growing excitement, Uchiha Shinji decided to wait another day.

That evening, impatient, he couldn't wait until midnight and slipped into Karin's apartment just as the sky turned dark.

After letting Shinji into the room, Karin said, "Leader, today I feel like my left eye is seeing even more clearly. I can hardly tell the difference between it and my right eye anymore."

"So fast!"

Shinji marveled internally.

Although he understood that if the eyes couldn't be restored, no amount of time would help. But if the Yang Release chakra was sufficient, a week was more than enough time for recovery.

Yet seeing it happen right in front of him, he couldn't help but feel it was too fast.

He recalled using the Susanoo Tomoshibi to manage his grandmother's pair of Mangekyō Sharingan. Back then, the blind left eye had felt completely devoid of vitality, unable to draw out any dojutsu power.

After thoroughly examining Karin's eyes again and confirming they had returned to normal, Shinji placed two nutrient tanks in front of her.

"In this tank is your original pair of eyes. In this tank is the pair of Mangekyō Sharingan I transplanted for you. Now, I'll give you a choice: do you want your original eyes back, or do you want to keep the Mangekyō Sharingan?"

Karin was taken aback. "You mean…?"

Shinji nodded slightly. "If you wish, I can let you borrow this pair of Mangekyō Sharingan."

Initially, Shinji had wanted Karin to test whether she could restore a completely damaged pair of Mangekyō.

But after thinking it over, he realized that if Karin transplanted the damaged Mangekyō, she'd be blind.

Since he was at a critical stage in the process of fusing his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Shinji wanted to avoid any unnecessary risks. Even if Karin were to test it out, he would wait until after his own fusion was complete.

As for giving Karin the choice, it was something he had carefully considered.

Karin had already helped him restore two and a half pairs of Mangekyō Sharingan. In this situation, lending her a pair for everyday use was perfectly reasonable.

Staring at the two tanks in front of her, Karin was torn.

Originally, she had intended to switch back to her own eyes, but the sudden offer from her leader made her hesitate.

She had experienced the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan firsthand and knew what these eyes represented.

By simply transplanting these eyes, she would instantly gain the strength to protect herself and her mother from harm.

After a long pause, Karin carefully asked, "Leader, if I were to use them, would it inconvenience you in any way?"

Shinji chuckled softly and shook his head.

He hadn't expected that even now, Karin would still be worried about affecting him.

Pointing to the tank containing the Mangekyō, Karin said, "Then please, transplant this pair for me!"

Shinji nodded. "Alright, prepare yourself. I'll begin the surgery."

Upon hearing this, Karin obediently lay down on the bed.

In just a few moments, Shinji had completed the preoperative preparations.

Suppressing his excitement, he started the surgery.

Since he had done this procedure many times, this one went faster than the others. In less than five minutes, the operation was complete, and he had retrieved his grandmother's pair of Mangekyō Sharingan.

Though only a week had passed, these eyes were now entirely different from how they had been.

Not only had the left eye regained its sight, but even the right eye, which still contained some dojutsu power, now shone with a vibrant, active brilliance.

"It seems the dojutsu power has been fully restored as well. No wonder Obito, with only one Mangekyō, could use space-time dojutsu as if it were a simple C-rank technique. White Zetsu's cells are truly powerful!"

After a brief moment of reflection, Shinji carefully stored his grandmother's Mangekyō Sharingan in the nutrient tank.

As he tidied up the tools, he said to Karin, "I'll hold onto your original eyes for now. They might come in handy later."

Karin immediately bowed to him. "I apologize for the inconvenience, Leader!"

Shinji could have easily used a genjutsu to help Karin activate her Sharingan, but after some thought, he decided against it.

With Karin's current Sage Body, keeping her Sharingan constantly activated wouldn't have caused any physical strain, unlike Kakashi.

However, the Sharingan's red eyes were too conspicuous, and even a dark visor wouldn't provide enough cover. Additionally, Shinji was eager to proceed with the fusion of his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and didn't want any complications to arise.
