Chapter 12: Just One Kiss

Liam couldn't get his eyes off Olivia as she sat at the table, pen in hand, her eyes cast downward, her face a mask of resignation. Her long, golden hair cascaded down her back, and her porcelain skin seemed almost translucent in the dim light of the courtroom. 

Her slender fingers trembled slightly as she signed the marriage agreement, the scratch of the pen on paper echoing through the silence.

Liam decided to make this a simple and private court marriage since she wanted it that way, but if it was in his opinion he would have thrown a big party for this to celebrate his years of turmoil in search of her.

Liam's gaze was fixed on her, his eyes burning with a deep longing. He felt a pang in his chest, a mix of emotions swirling inside him like a maelstrom. He saw the reluctance in her posture, the hesitation in her strokes, and his heart went out to her.
