Chapter 20: Hope
When he saw the slave marks, he started crying.
"Why, why does this happen to me?" He started ravishing his hairs.
"Hey Naofumi, what happened?"
He didn't answered. Tears fell out of his eyes.
"Naofumi??"
"Why does this happen to me Alna? I thought I would take them away secretly. But now it is impossible. If that scoundrel came here and didn't found them, he might kill them with the slave collar at any instant."
"Naofumi, be optimistic. We will find some way! how about we threaten him?"
"I don't want to put their lives in danger. That man is crazy! And yes, seeing the corpses of those hound dogs on top, they must have realized that someone has entered, we can't even get out of here." He didn't stop crying.
Suddenly, as if a plan came in his mind, he tore the raccoon girl's clothes and pressed the green orb of his shield on the slave mark. Nothing budged.
He pressed it harder, so much that the raccoon started feeling pain. Suddenly, as if something happened, he started smiling. When he removed his shield, there was no slave mark.
He did this to the other girl too, and her slave mark also disappeared.
"But How??" I asked.
"The orb absorbed the ink. Alna, use sleep spell on them. I don't want them to see what's going to happen." Naofumi said with a mischievous smile.
"W-wait, I didn't understand. How did it disappeared?" I asked while chanting the sleeping spell, They fell asleep.
"All you need to do right now is obey my commands." He said while looking outside the room.
The noble has already reached, He was looking at us. He had a whip in his hand. He was short, plump and disgusting.
"Stay here." He started going outside the room.
"I should tell you that, you can't attack, let me fight him." I pushed him back and started walking forward.
"Umm, hii." I said while going towards the noble.
The plan is simple, finish him off with a surprise attack.
"Mind telling me why did you guys infiltrate my mansion?" He asked, angrily.
I had already come out of that small room. Naofumi was also coming out from behind me. I started going closer to the noble.
"Stop right there." He shouted, adjusting his whip.
His guards started entering the hallway.
"Alna, go for the guards, you can't win against him!"
Oh really??
I unsheathed my sword and looked where that pig was, but he wasn't there anymore.
Suddenly, he was next to me.
When did he get so close?
The thought of defending myself floated in my mind but before I could do anything, the noble raises his right hand in which there was a dagger.
If he's this fast while being so plump, his level must be 55+.
"Well then, goodbye."
I was hit with the dread of death.
I prepared to at least get one counterattack in but even that is meaningless. After all, the noble was blown away the next moment.
"Goodbye to you too."
Naofumi was following the movement of the noble that I failed to follow. He kicked him away.
(Actually, Naofumi used teleportation.)
"Naofumi..!!"
"Hurry up and take care of those guards."
"..Understood."
I went to kill the guards. If I kill them, Naofumi will level up and his chances of winning will increase.
The noble did not give chase. Also, he did not take any damage at all. Naofumi's attack power is too low.

Also, shield hero copied several skills from the weapon shop, remember? Let's say one of them was knockback shield~gives knockback when equipped.
The third is, you know how plump the noble was? Naofumi off-balanced him.
Naofumi know around 1000 magic spells. Maybe saying this was enough.
At last, naofumi's body is very durable, I mean very much!! So he can kick him using his full force and his body will still be intact.
