"Why are we here?" Sara turned to face Alex. It was an expensive neighborhood, but what were they doing here? Didn't he say they were leaving so they could get ready for the banquet?
"There's something in there for you," Alex said as he pointed up at the penthouse. Dara followed his gaze, but that didn't answer her question. "Don't worry, you'll understand when we get there," he assured her.
Sara gave him a suspicious look, but he smiled as he stepped out as soon Ian opened the door. He went around the car and opened her side of the door and offered his hand, which she reluctantly accepted.
"Trust me on this," he said, and she finally nodded.
They were already here, and she couldn't turn back now without a good reason.
"Take a break, Ian. We'll call if we need you," Alex said. He didn't know how long they'd take in there since it wasn't only about him, so keeping him waiting wouldn't be right.
