Chapter 70: 70. Trevor Goldman 2

On the bed laid Trevor Goldman. His eyes were open but were slowly becoming hollow. Beside the bed was a monitory machin and an IV drip and candela on his wrist.

He tried to smile when he saw Nicholasbut he was met with Nicholas's intervention gaze. But his smile did not falter.

"Of all people, Nicholas, you were the last person I expected to pay a visit. To be honest, I never wanted you to see me like this," Trevor weakly said. He chuckled, but it was heart-wrenching.

Nucholas stopped right beside the bed. His eyes were locking with those of Trevor. Although his expression was hard to read, his eyes swirled with emotions that Trevor noticed. "I didn't plan to come. I was forced to," Nicholas replied, and the smile on Trevor's lips widened.

"I had suspected that to be the case when I was told you would be coming," Trevor said. His eyes darted for Mr Wentworth, and without needing to be told what to do, the man understood his silent command.
