Chapter 94: A Maid's Arrogance

A servant in the employ of Count Rene, a maid from a noble house in the kingdom had come forward, her eyes blazing as she looked over the three girls with thinly veiled contempt. 

"Not going to answer?"

The girls remained silent, their expressions showing their displeasure at her mere presence. Her rows furrowed with discontent.

"I'm sure that you can hear me."

She shifted her gaze to Cassie whose hand had returned to the hilt of her blade.

"And who's this strange person you brought in here?" 

Her eyes narrowed

The girls exchanged looks, the tension returning as the air grew thick with unspoken words.

Cassie clenched her jaw and just watched on, reserving herself to the sidelines as she had no idea who the woman was nor did she know what status she held, but her silence only seemed to fuel the maid's anger as she snapped.
