As the council members dispersed, George remained in the war room, his mind racing with thoughts about the evolving threats outside New Haven's walls. The room had quieted, the weight of the council's discussions still lingering in the air. He needed a plan, a way to understand what was driving the changes in the monsters, to figure out what dark force was guiding them.

Raven stayed behind, her gaze fixed on him, calm but intense. She always seemed to know when he needed support, even if he hadn't asked for it.

"Jonas isn't going to let this go," Raven said, breaking the silence. Her tone was steady, but there was a hint of concern in her eyes.

George sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I know. He's making things harder at a time when we need unity. If he keeps pushing like this, it's going to start dividing the community."
