Chapter 83: The Green-Eyed Monster

Elara stared at the pile of scripts in front of her, trying to focus, but her mind was elsewhere specifically on the person sitting across from her. Amara had been oddly quiet, flipping through the scripts without much comment. Elara's heart did a weird flutter whenever their eyes accidentally met, and she'd quickly look away, her cheeks heating up like a malfunctioning toaster.

She cursed herself for feeling so awkward. It's just Amara. The same Amara who insulted me in the past and now awkwardly blushes when I look at her. But after the photoshoot the day before, things had changed, even if neither of them dared to address it.

"So, what do you think of this one?" Marisol asked, breaking Elara out of her thoughts. She was holding up a script titled "Moonlit Fates: A Dance of Shadows."

"Uh, it looks interesting," Elara said, not really reading the words on the page. She could barely focus with Amara right there.
