Chapter 70: Rumors and Retorts

Elara was still trying to shake off the awkwardness of their hallway disaster when a voice broke the tension.

"There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you two."

A harried-looking assistant bustled toward them, clipboard in hand and a mildly irritated expression on her face. "The photographer's ready to show you the photos from today's shoot. Come on."

Elara shot a glance at Amara, who looked equally relieved to have the awkward moment interrupted. Without saying a word, they followed the assistant back down the hallway toward the photographer's studio, where a series of large monitors displayed Elara's photos. As soon as they entered, the photographer, a tall, thin man with rectangular glasses and an air of artistic superiority, beckoned them over.

"Ah, Elara, Amara! Perfect timing." He adjusted his glasses and motioned toward the screens. "We've narrowed down the best shots from the session. Have a look."
