Chapter 48: THE DANCE INSTRUCTOR TURNED CRIMINAL

Henry's head jerked toward the sound, fear gripping his heart. His eyes darted to the door, then back to Charlotte's unconscious form.

The knock came again, louder, and more louder.

His mind ran a marathon as he scrambled to cover Charlotte and shut off the camera. He even forgot to wear his clothes and hurried to the door.

"Who's that?" His voice trembled as he stared at the peephole.

"Food delivery from Tasty Bites," a delivery girl calls out.

"Food delivery? I didn't order anything–" he muttered, opening the door, visibly nervous.

"Hi, that'll be ¢23.50 please," she said, handing him the package.

"But I didn't order–"

The delivery girl's eyes narrowed, her brow arching. "This is 304A, right?"

Henry hesitated, his face flushing as he suddenly recalled his earlier order. He patted his shorts in search for his wallet.
