Chapter 204: My Sister Seems a Little Upset

Gu Xiannian acted coyly, trying to persuade Chi Yu and Qi Chao to take him along to the movies, only to have his true intentions exposed by Qiao Yu. 

"Tell me honestly, you're not just trying to skip your afternoon piano lesson, are you?" Qiao Yu asked with a sweet smile. 

Gu Xiannian instantly caved and tried to butter her up. "Of course not, Mom. I'm a good boy, remember?" 

Chi Yu ruffled Gu Xiannian's drooping head affectionately. "Be good, and I'll bring you something delicious when I get back." 

"Really?" Gu Xiannian sprang to life, energized by the promise. 

"When have I ever lied to you?" Chi Yu replied, taking Qi Chao by the wrist and addressing Qiao Yu. "Mom, we're heading out now." 

"Take your time, and be careful on the way." 

"Got it." 

On a weekday, the theater was nearly empty. Chi Yu and Qi Chao arrived 20 minutes early and found a random seat to wait before the screening began.
