Chapter 38: Chapter 38

Within a few minutes, Albert descended the stairs holding a small box.

Opening the box, he revealed that the interior was divided into two sections. On the left were some medical supplies, and on the right, there were thumb-sized bottles filled with various liquids.

Albert had received this box from Kreacher for emergencies, in case of injury.

He opened the box, took a fine needle from the syringe, and carefully extracted a small fang from the site of Ron's injury.

"What's that?" several people asked in surprise.

Albert placed the tiny fang into an empty vial and explained, "I read in a book that many fire dragons develop specialized fangs for venom when they are young. They use these for self-defense. This type of fang dissolves slowly in the wound of the opponent after biting, releasing toxins and making the healing process more difficult."

He then used tweezers to dip cotton into alcohol and soap water, cleaned the wound, and finally applied his improved medicine, which was essentially fresh white with added ground sunflower root powder.

"All done. Whether it works or not depends on the situation. After all, the medical skills I've learned don't include treating dragon bites."

"It's fine, mate. It feels much better now." Ron's wound was re-cleaned with a bandage. "At least it doesn't hurt as much."

As Albert finished the treatment and packed up his supplies, a tapping sound on the dark window announced Hedwig delivering a message from Charlie.

In the letter, Charlie expressed his willingness to adopt Norbert the Norwegian Ridgeback but instructed Albert to bring Norbert to the top of the tower at midnight on Saturday. He had a few trusted friends who could transport the dragon away using a broomstick in the darkness, as others would not be able to detect the dragon.

Albert and the others exchanged glances, understanding the risk involved in moving a dragon through the castle late at night. It was all too easy to be spotted by the teachers on their nightly patrols.

Eventually, Harry suggested that his invisibility cloak would be sufficient to cover the carriers and Norbert.

The plan was settled, and the next morning, Ron's fingers were slightly red and swollen but seemed almost healed.

It would take another day for his finger to fully recover, which led Ron to praise Albert's medical skills, making Albert feel a bit embarrassed.

Only Albert could heal minor bruises or superficial wounds with healing spells; poisons or fatal injuries required the expertise of professional magical doctors like Madam Pomfrey.

Albert found time during lunch to inform Hagrid about the scheduled dragon removal. When they arrived at Hagrid's hut, they found the large dog sitting outside with a bandage on its tail.

Hagrid opened the window and spoke to them, panting. "I can't let you in. Norbert is in trouble right now, and there's nothing I can do about it." Albert told him about Charlie's message, and Hagrid's eyes filled with tears, possibly also from being bitten on the leg by Norbert.

"Ha ha! It's no matter. He only bit my boot; he was just playing. He's still a little baby, ha ha ha." The little dragon thumped its tail against the wall, making the windows shake.

Albert bade farewell to Hagrid with a sympathetic look, and on the way back to the castle, he felt more convinced that it would be best to send the dragon away as soon as possible on Saturday.

Saturday came, and the night was dark with heavy clouds in the sky. Albert and the others went out together to meet Hagrid.

Originally, Harry and Ron thought two people would suffice, but Albert suggested that if something obstructed their path, he might need to be the one to deal with those obstacles, allowing the others to proceed.

In the end, the three of them went together, cloaked in invisibility.

Bevez was certainly playing tennis against the wall in the corridor.

Albert slipped out of the invisibility cloak, quietly walked in the opposite direction, and made a noise to draw Bevez away.

After circling to shake Bevez, Albert reached the hall and found that Harry and the others had already left.

Standing in the corridor, Albert suddenly felt a bit bored with the idea of returning to the dormitory.

It had been a long time since he had been at school and still hadn't ventured into the Forbidden Forest. With the end of the term approaching, he thought if he didn't go this term, he might not get another chance.

Considering he still had a set of powerful spells at his disposal, there shouldn't be too much danger in the Forbidden Forest as long as he didn't venture too deep. Albert made his decision and quietly headed towards the Forbidden Forest.

As he passed Hagrid's hut, he could still hear loud crying from inside. It seemed that sending Norbert away was indeed very upsetting for Hagrid.

At the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Albert saw a narrow path gradually disappearing into the dark forest. As he walked along this path, the vegetation grew denser, and the sky gradually vanished. Occasionally, a beam of moonlight would pierce through the clouds and shine through the branches above, illuminating the path.

However, this light did not bring a sense of safety. Instead, it made the surrounding tree branches seem even more menacing.

Albert took out his wand and cast the Lumos spell to produce a strong light from the tip of his wand, quickly turning the surrounding darkness into light. He felt that the spell also had the effect of dispelling malevolent forces.

After walking for a while, Albert suddenly noticed some silvery-blue light on the ground. He bent down and discovered it wasn't moonlight reflecting but some kind of liquid.

It shouldn't be the time when Voldemort killed the unicorn, so why was there unicorn-like blood on the ground?

Albert wondered whether he should follow the trail and take a look.

Ultimately, curiosity overcame fear, and he began to trace the blood trail.

The suspected blood spots reflected a bright, clear light under the glow of the lantern grass. This wasn't just a reflection of light but also a luminous effect caused by interaction with the magical energy in the lantern grass light.

Albert passed by a moss-covered tree trunk and could hear the sound of running water, indicating that there was a stream nearby.

On the winding path, there were still scattered traces of blood. The only good thing was that the bleeding didn't seem severe, and the unicorn's life didn't appear to be in danger.

After walking for more than ten minutes and nearing the edge of the Forbidden Forest's core area, Albert saw nothing.

Thinking it was getting late, he was about to stop following the trail when he heard some strange sounds coming from behind the bushes.

He leaned forward and quietly pushed the bushes aside, and what he saw next made him gasp in surprise.

Albert thought it was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen. Several unicorns were gathered closely together, affectionately rubbing their necks against each other. The moonlight illuminated their soft, watery coats with a silver glow. This peaceful and sacred scene made Albert feel lost in wonder.
