We began discussing the next step to take once we had a suspicion of where Dagon’s lair was.

“Did Alpha Daniel provide any other information about the dead zone other than there are barriers and rituals there?” I asked Paviar.

“No.” He shook his head, and I frowned upon hearing his answer.

That wasn’t enough information.

“We can’t just charge in there without knowing more,” I said.

“Agree.” Max nodded and said, “We need more information and ensure that is where Dagon’s hideout is located.”

“Rosa and I will go there secretly to check it out first,” Paviar offered.

“Why Rosa?” Jaxon disagreed. “I can go with you instead of her.”

I looked at Jaxon’s protectiveness in amusement.

“It involves magic. They are the best people to go,” I told him.

“But-”

“Can you sense magic? Can you pinpoint Dagon’s lair if it is there, covered with magic?” Max interjected, glaring at him, but there was the same hint of amusement in his eyes as mine.
