We went back to the office to find Alpha Daniel had already waited for us there.

“Alpha Daniel, sorry to have kept you waiting,” Max apologized for our lateness while I greeted him with a smile.

“Don’t worry about it, Alpha Maximillian, Luna Arabella,” he smiled at us.

Max quickly led me to a chair and fussed around to make sure I was comfortable.

“Do you want a cup of coffee?” he asked and answered the question himself in a mumble, “I think you are not supposed to drink coffee. Maybe tea...”

“Prepare a cup of tea for Luna,” he told his assistant and added, “Also bring a thin blanket from the bedroom.”

The assistant nodded and went away to do what was ordered of him.

Max then turned to me and asked, “Are you comfortable? Is the temperature in the room right for you? Too hot? Too cold?”

“Max, I’m fine,” I smiled helplessly at him and added through our mindlink, “Just treat me like usual. Alpha Daniel is here. We should talk business with him.”
