Chapter 17: -Suspicious ship-
"Make the ship width 5000!"
The captain's voice echoes from the bridge of the coastal defense ship Soya.
Following the Shiretoko Peninsula bombing incident, a coastal defense ship was hastily summoned.
Ideally, they would like to send out heavy cruisers and battleships to prevent them from making a move, but unfortunately their capital ships are away fighting the United States.
Although they were lightly armed, just having them on guard duty as a fleet was quite an intimidating force.

There was a constant tense atmosphere on the bridge, but it eased a little when the food was brought out.

"Distance 50 to target ship! Initiating warning."
"Attention fishing boats ahead! We are Imperial Navy coastal defense ships. You have no permission to sail into this area! Return to port immediately. If you do not heed our warning, we will destroy your ship.Capture Yes. Or be sunk!"
Warnings were then given in Japanese, English and Russian, but the fishing boat remained unmoved.
"To the gunners on the bridge, fire warning shots at the fishing boat ahead. Don't hit it!"
A few minutes later, warning shots were fired from the 7mm machine gun on the bow, but the fishing boat still did not move.
The captain ordered a surface contact by small boat.
The sailor, holding a Type 38 rifle, stared at the gun, which had never fired a single shot, and quietly approached the fishing boat.
At that time
"Captain! An emergency message from the second ship, the Kushiro! A light cruiser and two destroyers have been spotted two kilometers away!"
"What?! What nationality?!"
"All three ships are of Soviet nationality!!!"
