Chapter 2: Iron Monger!

Landing from the air, Lynch felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction!

Just one punch!

Lynch vented all the pent-up negative emotions he had accumulated from his bizarre transmigration, acquiring a system, and barely surviving countless close calls!

At the same time, after that punch, he fully grasped the extent of his own power.

Even though he was only in the "infant stage" of a Superman, the strength was still immense!

Although apart from enhanced strength, speed, brain functions, and senses, he couldn't use Superman's signature abilities, Superman is still Superman!

Even in the infant stage, he's still a Superman!

Beating the Iron Monger with "infant-stage Superman" abilities was definitely a piece of cake!

At this moment, the fleeing bystanders all stopped in their tracks. With a spirit of thrill-seeking, they excitedly gathered around, many pulling out their phones to record this rare scene.

"Hey, buddy, smash that guy! We're rooting for you!" shouted a mature woman in professional attire, completely losing her composure.

With his enhanced hearing, Lynch smirked and coughed, managing to suppress a laugh while keeping a cool expression.

"Go for it! If you beat that big guy, I'll buy you a drink!" Another sultry female voice chimed in. Lynch resisted the urge to turn around, sneaking a glance out of the corner of his eye.

Hmm, quite... big. Women from across the ocean sure are big—of course, I'm talking about their courage.

"I love you, my boy!"

Lynch's face stiffened slightly.

It was a muscular Black man, brimming with a philosophical aura.

...

"Hey! Watch out!"

A familiar voice suddenly rang out nearby.

It was Iron Man, who, though shocked, had better composure than the average person.

He knew that even though that punch looked impressive, the Iron Monger was tough and massive; it wasn't going down that easily.

Right now, he had to be wary of the sneaky tricks Obadiah might pull that this young man wouldn't know about.

Just as he was about to approach to check, Jarvis began warning about an incoming missile, prompting him to shout out the alert.

Lynch was startled but didn't respond. Instead, he swiftly turned his head toward the Iron Monger.

The Iron Monger had been sent flying, crashing into a wall, making its figure hard to see.

At that moment, a missile with a trail of smoke flew out from behind the wall, rapidly closing in on Lynch.

What should he do?

Lynch's instinct was to dodge.

Dodging would be easy.

With his enhanced visual reflexes, the missile didn't seem all that fast. With his speed, evading it would be effortless.

But that thought only lasted for half a second before Lynch changed his mind.

First, if he dodged, the missile's trajectory would hit the bystanders.

Second…

Did he really need to dodge?

Dodging is a human instinct, but now…

This powerful new body clearly told him…

This thing can't hurt me!

So, why dodge?

Today, Lynch is done being human!

Lynch clenched his fist, and instead of retreating, he advanced, throwing a punch!

Boom!

Air waves rolled! Fire and smoke burst forth!

Seeing Lynch struck by the missile, the surrounding onlookers were in disbelief.

"No! What just happened?" someone clutched their head in pain, refusing to believe Lynch was hit.

"Was he protecting us?" someone asked emotionally, eyes reddening.

"He'll be okay!" another person stared fixedly at where Lynch stood, waiting for the smoke to clear.

Even though Lynch's earlier actions had defied common sense, the sight of flesh and blood facing an explosion…

All their accumulated knowledge told them this young man couldn't survive.

"Jarvis, what's the status?"

Tony asked calmly as he rushed toward Lynch.

Logic told him that a person taking a missile head-on couldn't have a good outcome.

This wasn't just his professional opinion as an arms dealer; it was based on firsthand experience with close-range explosions.

But he had a gut feeling: this guy should be fine!

"Sir…"

"Okay, no need to tell me. I can see for myself."

Tony's expression was no longer one of surprise.

"You okay?"

"Not bad! Tony Stark, we'll chat later! Let's take care of this guy first!"

Lynch, frowning, waved away the thick smoke, his mood souring again.

Damn it, this guy actually shot at me!

If it were a beautiful woman, I might let it slide, but you're a greasy old man with a beard!

Although Lynch was in pain from the blast, it didn't cause much damage.

But…

His body was fine, but his clothes and hair were wrecked!

Lynch now looked ragged, his hair frizzed out, and his exposed skin was charred black, like he had just come off a battlefield.

This wasn't much harm, but it sure was humiliating!

"Iron Monger, huh?"

Lynch clenched his fists in frustration, then sprinted forward, leaping into the air and landing before the towering machine like a demon.

Inside the Iron Monger, Obadiah's face was flushed, and the control system blared with errors.

He gritted his teeth in fury at Lynch's interference.

He thought victory was within his grasp today, but Lynch turned out to be an unexpected twist.

Now, that twist was turning into a major headache.

"Damn monkey, I'm going to kill you!"

He commanded the Iron Monger to stomp on the comparatively small and weak-looking Lynch.

But contrary to his expectations, the foot seemed to hit the hardest stone, unable to move an inch.

"Increase the power! Max it out!"

He yelled, but even as the Iron Monger strained, the foot remained stuck, and to his shock, it began to lift.

Lynch, unbothered, held up the massive foot, sticking his head out and coldly saying to Obadiah:

"So you're Iron Monger, huh?"

With a cold snort, Lynch gave a mighty push, flipping the Iron Monger onto its back.

With a light jump, he landed on top of it, raising his right foot and stomping down hard on the foot that had just tried to crush him.

The Iron Monger's heavy frame shuddered, emitting a screech of mechanical failure.

"You shot at me?"

Lynch delivered a punch to the shoulder, sending sparks flying and denting the metal.

"You tried to crush me?"

Another kick followed, rendering the right leg completely immobile.

"Monkey, huh?"

Lynch smashed a fist into its head, breaking off half the helmet.

"Kill me, huh?"

He stomped on the chest's large circular reactor, causing the entire Iron Monger to shudder.

"No!"

Obadiah, desperate, tried to grab Lynch with the machine's arms.

Lynch remained unfazed, grabbing the two mechanical arms.

"Got you! I'm going to tear you apart!"

Obadiah snarled, cranking the power to maximum, attempting to rip Lynch apart.

"No, I got you!"

Lynch smirked, exerting force and spinning the Iron Monger like a top before flinging it away.

Inside, Obadiah's face went ashen, and he felt dizzy.

Watching Lynch approach, an overwhelming fear gripped him.

This person…

He's a demon!

I can't defeat him!

Run!

I must survive!

One day, I'll come back and take my revenge on you all!

Glaring hatefully at Lynch, he activated the Iron Monger's flight mode.

The Iron Monger struggled to rise, its legs transforming as flames burst out, propelling it into the sky.

"He can't fly!"

Seeing Lynch not pursuing, Obadiah felt a rush of relief.

"You'll all pay someday…"

Lynch hesitated, considering whether to shoot down the Iron Monger as it ascended.

With the distance and speed involved, he could do it.

But…

If he kills him here, how will he escape afterward?

Linger too long, and as a traveler without an identity, he'd be in trouble once the police arrive…

Let him fly for now, then deal with him in a secluded place later.

With that in mind, Lynch turned toward the original protagonist of this event—Iron Man.

The supposed main hero had been on the sidelines the entire time. If someone didn't know better, they'd think he had bought a VIP spectator ticket!

"Hey, Tony, you enjoying the show?"

Lynch teased, walking over to Iron Man.

"Oh, sorry about that, I didn't have enough power left to engage."

Tony apologized, but inside, he was wondering: Where did this guy come from? How does he know my identity…

Government agent? But I've already confirmed he has no connections to the government. They don't even have any information on him.

What's your agenda? What if you take down Obadiah and then turn on me? I need to save some power to escape!

Lynch glanced at the dashing Iron Man. The current Mark III suit was relatively primitive, but it still had that Iron Man vibe.

"Alright, but now you better pull your weight, or you'll be in trouble if he gets away."

Lynch pointed at the Iron Monger in mid-air.

"Take me to chase it."

"Okay, hold on tight to my shoulder," Tony hesitated for a moment but didn't refuse.

After all, Obadiah truly wanted to eliminate Tony, and letting him escape would be too risky.

Lynch nodded, stepped forward, and grabbed onto the shoulder of the Mark III armor.

With flames shooting out from its hands and feet, the Mark III quickly soared into the sky, carrying Lynch. Under the astonished gazes of onlookers, they chased after Iron Monger.
