Chapter 85: The Rising Tide of War

Several days later, Rest found himself holding a formal invitation as he traveled to the royal palace. While it wasn't something he was eagerly anticipating, the time had finally come for his ennoblement. The honor was awarded for his role in defeating the savage beast, Subnock.

Arriving by carriage under the banner of the Rosemary Marquisate, Rest tried to ignore how unfamiliar he felt in the refined attire he was forced to wear for the occasion. Though he disliked dressing formally, today required him to look every bit the nobleman. Beside him, the Rosemary sisters, Viola and Primula, wore vibrant dresses befitting the grandeur of the palace, their joy unmistakable.

"Finally, today's the big day!" Viola exclaimed.

"We've been waiting for this—Rest-sama being officially recognized by everyone! It's so wonderful!" Primula added with excitement.

For some reason, they seemed even more thrilled about the ceremony than Rest himself.
