By the time Rest finished his entrance exam, it was already evening. Exiting the academy grounds, he walked through the royal capital's streets, heading home. No one else was around—the students were dismissed in the order their interviews ended, and Rest's interview was one of the last due to his late number.

(Viola and Primula are probably worried about me. I should head back immediately without making any stops... but something feels off.)

A figure emerged from the shadows of a nearby building. It was a boy Rest vaguely recognized.
