The moment of crossing the Mediterranean
The most dangerous risks you could take is by trying to jump into
deadliest sea; hopping you can make it to Europe unknowingly, which
is one of the two; to cross or die in waves, that’s very touches to

When Kuec Garang encountered the wreckage moments when their
boat caught fire while they were on board, everybody was crying out
to God called for help, shouted they don’t want to died, oh god! help
us, the plastic boat caught fire and sink, Kuec Garang prepared himself
to swimming for many hours as he can’ he never lose hope’ even if
everybody abandoned and allowed themselves to be drowning in the
Mediterranean Sea.
He called out and pray to his ancestors’ saying’ hey what belong to my
grandmother; is Mediterranean sea going to take my life’ hopefully
you are standing with me now, help me out of deadliest sea’ the
moments I touch the ground again, I will never jump into this sea
again, please bring me out, between Kuec Garang his prayers and
some other Arabs shouting (Allah Habar) while they are continues
sinking and drowning, Kuec Garang his traditional prayers save his
life, the plastic boat burned and people drowned except Kuec Garang
and seven others who never lose hope, they swam for seven hours until
Libyan coastal guards came cross to save them, they were lift up by
rope and taken back to Libya for jail, some few days later Kuec escape
jail and went to visit shoreline only to found out some of people who
were with him on the same boat have been brought to shoreline by
wave and watch over on the beach.
He broke down in tears because of more people that have drowned for
nothing, ask himself how we are going to standardize living in Africa to that of Europe; so millions of Africans couldn’t die the same way
every year, Deng Jimmie who was in Egypt broke down in tears after
watching some videos of people watch over at sea coast and he made
stimulating decision by co-operating with Kuec Garang of writing the
book” The Mediterranean sea” to raising awareness of going thru
Mediterranean Sea that you will never survive at all, don’t say you
know how to swim, you are going to find it in other way which is
bigger than you think, ignore going to Libya, ignore going thru
Mediterranean sea, ignore going to Europe.
Sinking Boat:
Eritreans who happened to bought plastic boat, a contingent who
made their decision of crossing Mediterranean Sea by Jumping in the
Sea at midnight with their plastic boat around 3:00am; went regretted
their decision and crying out for help after their boat became too heavy
to cares 150 Eritreans who escaped Libya for Italy at midnight’ it has
gone as night mare at midnight after plastic boat started to sink, it
only takes he who know little swimming; could host himself until
morning time, to see if there will be helpers to show up or any coastal
guards, amongst 11 survivors in 150 people.
Ahmed Ali one of survivors spoken’ saying, I’m indebted to Libyan
coastal guards for help out; I almost drowning like my colleagues’ may
God rest their souls in peace and forgive us for taking dangerous risky
trip; we never know how it feels to be in middle of the water where
there is no tree to hold on; the feeling breaking my heart into pieces,
I have infatuated to those of you who save my life, this is my first and
last to jump into Mediterranean Sea was absolutely obnoxious; I
thought we should’ve be observant before trying something else out,
if we obstinate of crossing Mediterranean Sea, I thought we will
continues dying in everyday, we can’t be occupancy of Mediterranean
Sea every year, we must maintain these wrong thoughts, and place our
hope on Africa instead of abandoned our home continent’ he said ‘let
all of you Learns from our mistake.
Archange luke a Congolese man and his Ethiopian friend on march
2018 also joins some others Africans when they were in Tripoli, Libya
amongst them were two hundred people who are already bought a
boat to cross Mediterranean Sea to France or Spain, unknowingly
their boat was steel boat which is little a bit good to go through waves
until they made it to Italy where they got caught by Italian coastal
guards and they were putted to jail; they spend some time in jail and
later escape the jail in which some of them escape to France and
Belgium, two hundred of them survived the deadliest sea, and spread
to European countries, they’re among few people who made it to
Europe and end up in Europe doing nothing.
Joseph okello from Uganda arrives in Tunisia in 2017 and spend
some time working there to make money for crossing Mediterranean
Sea; he failed to make money because of wrong workspace in Tunisia;
in a year 2022’ he finally earned some little cash for his trip to Italy,
on march 2022 he joins some individuals who were prepare for trip, at midnight they whispering each others of escaping Tunisia to Italy,
their boat took three days to reach shoreline at Italian coast; were
Italian coastal guards collect them and places them in safe place, they
were fifty people who surviving drowning in the sea because their boat
was great enough to cut through water for more than three days, he
stated that to surviving is by using strong boat, we wouldn’t made it
if not our strong boat that pushed through the big waves all day along,
he thanks Italian coastal guards for helping after they reach shoreline.
Deng Jimmie: after spending five years in Egypt, while Studying,
working hard, and anything it take to make a living, he speaks out
about Africa as whole that; it was indestructible poverty that drive
Africans, it has stuck indelible on black persons, he said ‘that is
misconception to avoided Africa for Europe, we must think very clear
one more time and correct this again’ I’m offhand to that idea of
leaving our home continent to nowhere, we must join hands to fixing
Africa, I hope I made great precision on paper to African Union which
contains some advice to young Africans of never cross Mediterranean
sea, I can see modern life has greatest tribulation on Africans but we
must stop it.
A lot of South Sudan refugees whose processes of travelling goes in
waste under unhcr-egypt made their minds of leaving Egypt for
Libya, more ten thousand refugees shifted to Libya in hope for unhcr
in libya could finally review their wasted processes of travelling, a lot
of them cares blue unhcr cards that presented you are full a refugee,
they had given up on unhcr-egypt that held people for the benefits of
Egypt, leaving refugees living in fear, hungry and mistreatment
toward refugees specially South Sudanese whose some of them lived
under unchr-egypt for more than thirty years without gained
anything, their life goes in waste
Which is objectionable, you can’t reasoning why all these for, what
you did wrong both in your home country and under unhcr-egypt,
South Sudanese have incriminates unhcr-egypt has been running by
Egyptians to controlled and use them for benefits of Egypt and
leaving them behind in tears, theirs only choice is to leave Egypt for
Libya even if Libya is dangerous ‘then it’s better for them to live in
danger than being in Egypt, it was indefensible to move to Egypt for
protect, that it’s indicate unhcr-egypt employed uneducated
Egyptians that cares mistreatment on refugees who come to unhcregypt offices to ask for their process of travelling.
They are not in practicing of their indulgence, we can’t be able to earns
a living both in Egypt and back home, where are we? we are doomed
completely, it’s quite inexplicable to rests of family members we left
behind, we as South Sudanese under unhcr-egypt are absolutely
shattered; one refugee speaks out before leaving for Libya in
September 2023.
When I made my researching on how South Sudanese living in Libya
and Egypt make a comparison, I find out South Sudanese complains
that living in Egypt is bad but living Libya is worse.
However, most South Sudanese based in Egypt still left Egypt for
Libya in 2023, which make me wondering why are they leaving from
bad to worse.
Many and many South Sudanese under unhcr-egypt planed their
leaving to Libya in hoping of unhcr-libya could help finalized their
processes of travelling after their experience delayed made by unhcregypt, it was a beginning of 2023 when some South Sudanese in Libya
updated those in Cairo about unhcr-libya and its functionality that led
to escape of some families whose processes were delayed in Egypt,
have made it to Libya, they ‘said’ we have given up on unhcr-egypt for Wasting our time on nothing, some single individuals under unhcregypt who were told that you can’t traveling while you are Single
found out while in unhcr-libya that their processes where done for a
while but they have been held by Egyptians for their benefits.
Something you don’t do if you fear God, Kemet after it was invaded
by Arabs in 7th century and renamed its Egypt has become devil’s
dancing ground, once you came to Egypt make sure you are dancing
with devils’ be careful or you will lose it all, South Sudanese were not
aware of going to Egypt until they witness the killing of their own
South Sudanese in Egypt and Egyptian gov’t defend the murderers
that if Egyptian guy killed South Sudanese guy’ that Egyptian will be
release in spot with nobody shall talk, which left South Sudanese with
no other choices than to leave Egypt and looking for Safe place
anywhere.
