Chapter 84: Power up close

Rose woke up when she heard the emergency alarm. She took a second to remember the events and ran out. She met Asher outside. They both ran out to look for someone with answers.

The officers were running here and there and Rose didn't stop them to ask.

They went straight to the main office where they watched the zombies. If any place was to be kept unbroken, it was this one.

They didn't find anyone there. Rose looked at the barrier and was relieved to know that it was unbroken and still going strong.

"It's okay here."

She told Asher.

"Let's wait here. I think what's happening is already under their control."

Rose waited there. She kept looking for someone who could tell her how everything was working.

She didn't have any jurisdiction here so no one really had to report to her. Instead if anything, she had to report to Madam Denise.

Their wait was really stressful.

Asher found a chair and asked her to sit.
