CROWN PRINCE Heath tugged on the reins of his horse as he stopped at the gates of the dukedom. To his surprise and utter confusion, there was no knight guarding the gates of the dukedom. 

"Is this how bad they look down on Luella? They don't bother going on patrol?" Heath wondered out loud. He rode closer to the gates and, with his firepower, he melted the padlock that kept the gates locked and went in. 

A sickening feeling dawned on his shoulders, the same feeling he felt while he was in the palace. The same feeling that made him leave the palace to eagerly find Luella. 

Something was wrong.

Something was awfully wrong, and he knew it.
