Chapter 53: Ch 53: The new worker

'Ah, these people still don't like me. I guess I cannot expect them to like me immediately.

Lisa did her best not to show how nervous she felt at this introduction. But her actions (or her scent) must have betrayed how she felt.

Emma grabbed Lisa's hand in reassurance before she looked at her workers.

"Make sure you take care of her. I must head out now, but I will return to check on you all soon. Lisa, learn as much as you can, and don't push yourself much."

Emma finally let go of Lisa's hand once she was finished speaking. It made Lisa feel slightly alone, but she tried to shake off that feeling.

Once Emma let Lisa go, Nick wasted no time hugging her and rubbing his head on Lisa's hair. 

She could tell he was trying to do something to her, but she could not tell what it was. It made her body tingle, and she shivered as a result.
