Chapter 31: Ch 31: Let's make a deal!

"I see! Nick is a vampire, while Emma is a werewolf. I want to say that I am shocked, but I can't bring myself to think of this news as shocking. I guess I am in too much shock right now."

Lisa's mind was heartfelt at odds, but her body felt heavy and tired. 

It was not even afternoon, and Lisa felt like she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

"It's the lack of sleep speaking through you right now. Close your eyes and try to rest. I will wake you up once it is time for you to head back home."

Emma tapped Lisa's head as one did to a baby to get them to sleep.

Lisa wanted to protest that she was not a baby, but she fell asleep before she could speak. Her body was too tired from the night, and she decided to crash after that happened.

The pair looked fondly at Lisa for a few minutes before they turned toward each other to size each other up.
