Chapter 14: Universal Language (Unilang)

Of course, he didn't have the knowledge to do so now, but he had the means to gain such knowledge, though he couldn't go in there for another three weeks.

However, he had another cheat that could allow him to gain such knowledge or at least research that for him.

Grabbing his laptop and turning off the extra lights he had turned on for the now-ended livestream, Richard opened a new file and began coding, but this time he was using the 'Unilang,' as he had decided to name it. The name is a work in progress.

About thirty minutes later, he was done and immediately ran the code. Normally, his laptop should blow, but to do this, he was using a cloud server; there was no other way for this to work.

Pressing the enter key, Richard saw his screen go dark, and his heart immediately jumped.

"Shit!" he shouted in surprise and horror as he thought about having to buy a new laptop.

However, the laptop screen lit up just seconds later; on it was a simple interface not so different from ChatGPT.

"Holy shit, it worked," Richard said, surprised.

He knew he could create an AI model like ChatGPT with the Unilang, but he never expected it to work as perfectly as he intended.

Well, then again, he had ensured to describe what he wanted. He didn't need an actual AI; there was no need for it, but he needed a model like ChatGPT.

Unilang could and would create a real AI if he didn't explain it well; thankfully, he had taken that into account. However, this new AI model that was created was way more powerful than anything ChatGPT could output or manage.

The intent behind it was to be the ultimate assistant and a great researcher. Yes, if he couldn't gain the knowledge, then he would make things that could do the research for him.

It was lazy, but it would be quick. Deciding to test out the AI, Richard began communicating with it. As he had programmed into it, the AI responded a little too naturally, and it felt as though he was talking to a true friend.

It had access to all corners of the internet and was very quick in generating results or answers. Above that, it seemed to have some creativity to it. It wasn't just garbage in, garbage out as ChatGPT was. This was beyond that by far.

"This guy seems convenient," Richard noted before deciding to put it to use for what he had created it for.

Putting in the prompt, the AI immediately began working. Despite being run on a cloud server, his laptop's fans picked up too.

Its duty was to research and design a new server unit that had more than enough power to house the game 'Oasis,' even if it had to create new components from scratch.

He didn't need to question whether the AI would be able to achieve his goal or not; what he was worried about was where to get the money to fund such a project.

"Let's hope they all take the bait," Richard thought before deciding to go to bed.

The AI would probably take some time to create the new server unit, and he had no more use being awake, so it was time to sleep.

"How are things going on?" a man asked as he pulled off his jacket and hung it on a coat rack in the office.

Within the office space, three people could be seen. All three would be what people considered important people in their industry.

"We managed to solve about 48 of the bugs, but we still have a whopping 52 to complete," the other man said.

His tired eyes and smile seemed to say it all. It had only been two days since that list was submitted, and it had already shaken the company to its core. Why wouldn't it, though? There was someone out there with the capability to destroy everything they had worked for by just tapping on his keyboard.

"That's good, right?" the man asked, only for the other person to shake their head.

"We have yet to solve most of the high-severity ones, and the critical ones seem almost impossible to solve but, at the same time, very easy to exploit. If anyone manages to even figure out that it is a flaw in our security, we are done. We would be no different from an open book to them," the other person explained.

"So what do you propose we do?" "Contact that person as soon as possible; if possible, hire them. I don't care what you do, just make sure they are on our side. I have worked too much to lose it all now," the other person said.

He sounded desperate and tired, but even the man could understand where he was coming from. He may be the current CEO of the company, but those in the know knew that the other person had been there since the beginning.

This company was as much his as it was his own. Both of them couldn't allow such knowledge to just freely float around in society. They had millions of users' data flowing through their servers, and if there was ever a breach, they were done for.

All over the world, in the companies Richard had chosen to submit his list, a similar scene could be happening. There were things they could ignore, but when it would affect their very livelihood, they were ready to do the needful to solve it as usual.

No matter which company it was or which board member heard of this, they all understood one fact: if it was money, they would spend it, but they must never allow this guy out of their sight.

"Sir/Ma'am, I think I found him."

A weird silence filled each boardroom as this message was announced. Richard didn't hide anything, so his face was on his profile, and at the same time, he had linked his socials to his profile.

However, this didn't mean that they had easy access to him. The website that the list was submitted through usually acts in place of the user, obscuring their data to protect their identity; hence, they only had access to his email and nothing else.

However, Richard had also gone live on the internet under the same name. A little bit more effort was all it took for them to find him.

Within each boardroom meeting, projectors were set up, and a video was projected.
