Chapter 23: Hidden Book
Hamsa was embarrassed listening to his sounds.
Dr. Andrews says, Hello! Hamsa. How are you?
Hamsa replied " I'm doing well. Did you get hurt Dr.?"
He replied, "No, I'm fine"
He said, " Dr. Kanika what did you discuss with her?"
Dr. Kanika replied, " Please read this Dr."
She gives the paper to him on which she was noting.
Dr. Andrews reads it.
Dr. Andrews asks, "Hamsa did you speak to Shenoy after your last call?"
Hamsa replied, " No Dr. I couldn't because I was in Village M, my parents observed me that I was not studying and always concentrating on my phone. Even I told them that I'm disturbed by Kiran. So, they took my phone. Dr. Andrews asked, " What was the issue with Kiran? What happened in Graduation University?"
Hamsa narrates-
During my graduation from a University in Delhi, I was quite popular as I was the topper of the University and I used to participate in competitions and extracurricular activities.
The university hired many young qualified professionals just before five years I joined the University.
Kiran was also such Jr. Professor.
All the professors are good at teaching. Generally, more than three professors handle one subject. Kiran teaches Accounting along with the other two teachers.
After joining the University I met good friends from different places in our country, India, and other international students too. Anjana is my best friend, with whom I always share.
In our class, one boy used to write letters and put them on my desk. He started writing letters after my kathak dance performance.
Even after several warnings, he didn't stop. Yet he crossed his limits and proposed to me when I was walking from college to PG. He proposed to me from a five-floored building, shouting " I love you Hamsa!!" All the students were shocked.
Kiran and Kiran were going on his bike when this boy proposed to me. I didn't know that Kiran would react. He went upstairs, scolded the boy, and took him to Principal.
After this incident, our principal spoke to me. I told him everything that happened and gave him all the letters. That boy was warned strictly that if he repeats, they will suspend him.
After one week, when I and my friends were in the canteen, Kiran was there with other lecturers and students. I took my food at the self-service counter and walked to the table Kiran winked at me.
I was shaking. This was observed by my friend Anjana.
She understood that Kiran likes me. From the next day, there was a drastic change in Kiran's behavior during class. He used to focus on my friends always asking them questions.
He always referred to me as an example for everything. Suggesting other students learn from me. She is a bright girl, a good learner, beauty with a brain.
I always hated his attitude. He was trying to impress me while suppressing the other students.
I always avoided him. Even after completion of my graduation he tried to contact me. Asking my friends on social media about my details. But I already informed them, not to disclose any. And they did not. After that, I met Shenoy and you know!
How in college?
Yes, he came to teach but due to his fast and American accent English, issues raised and he came to college to see me daily.
Dr. Andrews said, " Well, those are good memories. Commonly heard from teenagers and youngsters with school day and graduation level stories and there isn't any serious relationship with Kiran. He didn't even propose you!"
Yes, he never directly proposes me he sends people and tells them to propose me on his behalf.
Dr. Kanika asks, "Hamsa, what are those factors which made these men like you? Did you ever think over it?"
No Dr. I never! Maybe I'm popular. I'm not sure.
Dr. Kanika interrupts and says maybe your hair, your looks?
Dr. Andrews whispers, " These women will never change".
Dr. Andrews asks, " Hamsa you said that your laptop was hacked by Karan and Shenoy? Can you just take this book and write everything that happened."
I messaged Shenoy and his team in Linked in and asked for help.
Hamsa says yes and Dr. Andrews asks her to sit in the cafeteria and write. So that he can discuss it with her parents.
Hamsa goes to the cafeteria and her parents start discussing with Dr. Kanika and Dr. Andrews.
