Finally, after finishing up my very last test in high school, I handed over my final exam papers to the supervising teacher and I walked out of the examination hall with my head held high and a bittersweet pang in my chest.

As much as I was happy to get away from this hellhole, I couldn’t quiet explain this weird feeling of nostalgia that weighed heavily on my chest as I thought about how today was going to be the last day I was going to be walking down these familiar hallways, or even saying goodbye to these familiar faces.

Despite the fact that I had more enemies than friends, I still couldn’t help the pang in my heart as I remembered Dani and her sweet smile as she came bounding down the hallways; or Liam and Tawin as they would crack random jokes at the most random things that we may not have noticed before, but it would make us go rolling on the floor in laughter.
