The antidote arrived the next morning, along with the contract.

It was sealed in a vial, to be injected into one of the main arteries that would lead directly to the heart. Cameron, Freya and I gathered around the Alpha’s desk, along with Darcia and Sarah, as the Alpha opened the seal on the box using the code that Alpha Krimson had sent specifically to the Alpha and one that none of us were made aware of.

It was like opening the Holy Grail. A burst of hope and fear. My emotions threatened to overwhelm me, but I held on with teeth gritting strength.
