Chapter 90: Chapter 90 The Fog

Freya’s P.O.V

“Cameron!” I whispered urgently, looking around the room wide eyed to see if anyone had witnessed our exchange right then. Thankfully, everyone was minding their own business and I was officially safe from further embarrassment.

“Yes?” Cameron grinned down at me unashamed.

I swatted his hand away from my lips and swallowed the bite of egg that I had taken previously. “You seriously have no remorse!” I glared at him.

“Not when it comes to you.” His smile stayed the same. “Happy eighteenth birthday.”

Frowning, I looked towards the wall where there was a large wooden clock to see that it was only eight thirty in the evening. “There’s still time.”

“I know. I just wanted to be the first person to wish you.”

That statement alone had my heart melting all over again. “Thank you.”

“Now finish up,” he said, pointing to the plate of food. “The party is just getting started. I don’t think we’re having dinner any time soon.”
