I had to call in a makeup artist recommended by my makeup artist back in Mexico. It wasn't easy to find someone I could trust on such short notice, but I needed perfection tonight. My look had to be flawless. When the makeup artist finally arrived, I watched carefully as he laid out his tools and got to work. 

He was clearly very talented. He crafted a smoky eye look for me, the kind that gave my eyes a sultry, mysterious quality, accentuating their natural shape and making my gaze look almost hypnotic. It complimented the wet hair look that my stylist had given me—strands of my hair were styled to look effortlessly tousled, as if I had just emerged from water.
