Chapter 62: No Limits

Niklaus stood still for a moment, gazing at his new form.

The shimmering black exoskeleton, laced with the stars and galaxies of the cosmos, was breathtaking—overwhelming in its display of cosmic grandeur.

But with a thought, he decided to dial it back.

Slowly, the saturation of the cosmic energy around him diminished, and the black exoskeleton cracked and broke apart, falling away in shards of fading light.

He knew it would return the moment he unleashed a large amount of energy again and for now, he preferred to look more grounded.

As the last piece of the exoskeleton vanished, he glanced at his reflection in the silver mirror of a test tube.

His body was vastly different—mucg more muscular, more defined.

It wasn't the lean, almost perfect Homelander build anymore.

He looked like something more, someone far beyond the TV version of himself.

His face was similar, but everything else had shifted, more powerful, more... untethered.

But the real thrill wasn't in the appearance. It was the feeling inside him.

There were no visible limits on New Order, not anymore.

The sensation was exhilarating—like holding the entire universe in his grasp without anything holding him back.

The chains were gone now.

He could feel the sheer scope of his power surging beneath his skin.

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, a laugh escaped him—loud, triumphant, and filled with exhilaration.

"Hahahhahah"

It wasn't maniacal or forced or unsettling in anyway.

The kind of laughter that comes when you realize you're no longer bound by the rules that once confined you.

Niklaus clenched his fists, still chuckling to himself. "No limits," he whispered, almost tasting the words.

The possibilities now seemed endless.

Niklaus stood there, savoring the surge of power coursing through him, the limitless potential humming beneath his skin, when suddenly, he felt it.

A subtle ripple, the faintest touch of spatial distortion, as the bald-head supreme attempted to open a portal directly into his room.

He didn't even need to think. With a flick of his will, he denied her entry, snapping the portal closed before it could fully form.

He smirked, eyes glinting with pettiness as he remembered how annnoying she was for the past four years.

He could finally shut her up for good.

He teleported to the upper floor of his building.

While simultaneously with a single breath, metaphorically since he didn't need to breathe, he called upon the most arcane forms of spatial magic that he had the knowledge directly in his head and pulling from the vast ocean of power inside him.

The entire building began to shimmer with a faint glow of cosmic energy visible to him alone, as if reality itself was bending around it.

He infused the space with magic derived from the farthest reaches of his being, making it a fortress of non-interference.

No one would be able to enter without his conscious permission anymore.

He set the rules: those he cared about couldn't die within these walls, and their power would grow exponentially if they were ever threatened, a multiplier that would rise as needed.

Here, they were invincible.

Satisfied with his work, Niklaus descended the staircase and sought out Ashley.

She was now dressed in her normal clothes, no longer in the maid outfit she'd worn earlier.

Without hesitation, he crossed the room, wrapping her in his arms, pulling her close.

She seemed startled at first as my demeanor was vastly different at the moment, but then melted into my embrace.

"I'm happy," he whispered, his voice low and full of energy.

He pressed a kiss to her lips, the excitement still buzzing through him.

The warmth, the moment, everything felt right in this brief second of peace.

Niklaus usually wasn't often the type to savor small moments.

But ,this was a different kind of victory.

Two Weeks Later

Niklaus stood in the middle of the training room, grinning as Ashley and Laura circled him.

Both of them had grown significantly stronger, their powers evolving beyond anything they could have imagined, thanks to the conceptual space magic he had infused into the room.

Still, no matter how much they improved, he was always two steps ahead.

"Alright, let's get this over with," he said casually, cracking his neck. "I've got more important things to do, like… Saving people."

Ashley, her eyes narrowed in focus, responded with a calm, respectful tone. "Master, you're underestimating us again."

Niklaus raised an eyebrow, dodging an aggressive swipe from Laura's adamantium claws with ease. "Am I? Or am I just giving you some extra motivation?"

Laura grunted, frustration showing on her face as she swung at him again.

This time, Niklaus caught her wrist mid-swipe, holding her in place.

She glared at him silently, her eyes burning with the desire to land even one blow.

Her lips pressed into a thin line, refusing to show how much it bothered her that she couldn't hit him.

"Keep trying, Laura," Niklaus teased. "Maybe next time you'll at least touch my hair."

Laura's nostrils flared, but she said nothing, just yanked her wrist free and darted back, eyes locked on him.

Meanwhile, Ashley stayed calm and composed.

Her hands glowed with heat as molten lava dripped from her fingertips.

With a graceful motion, she sent a wave of molten rock surging toward him, the ground rumbling under the sheer power of her attack.

The air shimmered with heat, the temperature rising to scorching levels, but Niklaus simply hopped over the wave, landing smoothly on solid ground.

"Really, Ashley?" he said, smirking as he brushed imaginary dust from his sleeve. "You think lava's going to hurt me? Come on, you know better than that."

"Master, I wasn't expecting it to hurt you," Ashley replied, her tone measured." I simply thought i might create an opening "

Niklaus chuckled, impressed by her strategic thinking. "Smart, but still predictable."

Laura, watching quietly from the side, clenched her fists and darted toward him again, her claws gleaming.

She slashed furiously, but Niklaus was too fast, dodging every strike effortlessly.

He stepped to the side, tapping her lightly on the shoulder as she passed.

"Too slow," he teased.

"Grrr…" Laura growled, frustration evident as her eyes darkened.

Her jaw clenched in silent anger, her attacks growing more ferocious but still ineffective.

Ashley took advantage of Laura's distraction and sent another molten blast his way.

The lava surged toward him like a tidal wave, but Niklaus didn't flinch.

Instead, he raised his hand and absorbed the heat, letting the molten rock flow around him without leaving a single mark on his body.

"You know, Ashley, this might actually be relaxing if I was in the mood for a spa day," he said with a wink.

Ashley replied, her tone respectful but firm. "We're getting stronger every day, but i don'tthink we'llcatch up with you like ever "

"And I'm proud of that," Niklaus said, smiling.

Laura, now standing a few feet away, glared at him silently.

Her claws were out, but she hadn't made another move yet.

Instead, she stood still, watching, waiting for an opening.

Niklaus turned to her, raising an eyebrow. "What's the matter, Laura? Out of ideas?"

She responded with a single word, her voice low and controlled. "No."

Her eyes burned with determination, but she stayed in place, calculating her next move. Niklaus grinned.

At least she was learning some patience.

"Good, good," he said, nodding in approval. "You're thinking now. I like it."

Suddenly, Ashley launched another attack, sending a massive molten fist toward him.

This time, the ground beneath her cracked from the force, and Niklaus could feel the power she was putting into it. Still, he was unfazed.

With a laugh, he clapped his hands together, creating a shockwave that dissipated the molten rock instantly.

The force sent both Ashley and Laura stumbling back, though they quickly recovered.

"Alright, I'll admit," Niklaus said, his tone still light but with a hint of admiration, "you're both getting much stronger. Ashley, you've almost doubled your strength since last time. And Laura… well, you haven't stabbed me yet, so that's progress."

Laura narrowed her eyes but said nothing.

Her expression alone spoke volumes—she was annoyed, but more determined than ever. Her lips curled into a small snarl as she prepared for another attack.

Ashley, however, was more focused. She wiped the sweat from her brow, nodding in acknowledgment of Niklaus's compliment. "Thank you, Master."

Niklaus glanced at both of them, his grin widening. "Let's finish this."
