Ri Ku - Former soldier of Chinese Army before this Apocalypse has happened. He left the military after his mandatory program ended and decided to become someone. But nobody hired him and so, before the apocalypse has happened, he was just a nobody, who was taking care of some old man with dementia. When the apocalypse happened, Ri Ku booked from his rented apartment and ran to safety like everyone else from Hong Kong.
Ahmed - An immigrant from Egypt, who left the country for a better future in Saudi Arabia as a bus driver, he was caught in Apocalypse mess during his working hours. He alone drove a bus full of people to a nearby port where they were rescued and sent to an outpost in Taiwan. Well, what used to remain from Taiwan.
Li Kay - Former cashier in a store that was owned by his family in Beijing, he hated that job, but he couldn't get any job in his field of education because of higher demands that were impossible to him and many other to achieve. He was one of the happiest people after the Apocalypse happened when he saw his scumbag brother-in-law getting mauled by his sister. He ran to a nearby zone, where he was transported via a helicopter to Hong Kong.
Xin Yan - Former cashier, had the same struggles as Li Kay, but the store wasn't owned by her family member, was a Shein store where the owner was trying to have its way with Xin Yan almost everyday even though he was married and had three kids. During the Apocalypse, Xin Yan managed to leave the Beijing behind with her abusive boyfriend, who luckily, has been killed by a soldier after he observed his body temperature was 0.5 bigger than normal. She was relieved when her boyfriend died, and now, she can do what she wants. Killing zombies and saving lives.
Yu Tong - She wasn't known for much, but she was known in Hong Kong as a paintball trainer, and a fine one. She and her team used to be champions of China's Paintball Nationals before this Apocalypse happened and ruined everyone. All of her team besides her have perished before the finals. She managed to flee the Hong Kong with the help of a small group of three survivors, and arrive in Taiwan where her skills were put to some good use.
