Valentina raised an eyebrow. "Oh, of course. Because every vampire's top priority is a midnight snack. Should I whip up a steak, or would you prefer something a bit more… sanguine?"

She couldn't help it. She was irritated beyond measure. This asshole just tricked her into thinking he was some cute stray wolf while being the worst creature that a werewolf can ever come in contact with.

Lucian chuckled, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement as he took in Valentina's sharp retort. "My, my. You certainly have quite a way with words," he remarked, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. But his tone turned serious as he continued, "But I assure you, I'm not here for a steak. At least not the kind you're implying."

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion and she shifted uneasily under his intense gaze. "Then what are you implying?" she asked, feeling nervous.
