Liz couldn't help but glance over at Callan, who despite his pain, wore that same cocky smirk. She wanted to be angry, to focus on her frustration at being dragged into this nightmare of a world, but the sight of his bloodied chest and his unyielding spirit softened her resolve.
"Are you sure we're heading in the right direction?" Liz asked, her voice laced with worry as she glanced at Ronan.
"We're close," Ronan replied, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings. "The portal should be just up ahead."
Matthew walked beside them, his gaze intense as he kept watch for any more demons. "We need to stay alert. These realms are unpredictable, and the last thing we need is another surprise attack."
