It was four days later, and the spring festival had finally arrived. Valentina had called Sophia to her room that morning to help her get dressed, and Sophia was grateful for the assistance. She had no idea what to do and was relieved to have someone so willing to help.
"Would you like me to braid your hair, Sophia?" Valentina asked cheerfully.
Sophia nodded. "That would be lovely."
"Great, then sit tight and leave it to me!" Valentina chirped.
Sophia smiled at her enthusiasm. She felt lucky to have someone who accepted her so easily. Everyone in the pack had been welcoming, except for Ronan. He had been ignoring her for the past four days. The idea of him being nice to her seemed so distant that he hadn't even shown up in her room. Only Matthew had come, and she was ashamed to admit that she had sometimes hoped it would be Ronan.
