Chapter 97: Clash Of Emperors I

The camp was a scene of utter devastation. Blood and dust mingled in the air as warriors dropped lifelessly to the ground.

Some lay with their heads severed, rolling grotesquely away from their bodies, while others had been dismembered into ghastly pieces. Panic erupted across the campsite as soldiers scattered, trying desperately to escape the unseen menace that tore through their ranks.

Emperor Valdek stood at the entrance of his tent, his eyes wide with fury and disbelief.

"Take cover!" Emperor Valdek the fervent scream of a warrior running past his tent to warn the others. "Do not come out! I repeat, do not... Gah!" Him too was cut down, his torso seperated from his body and his head landing against the hardened ground.

Blood slowly pooled under his body and the emperor watched even more of his soldiers die.
