Lin Feng looked smugly at Eula, feeling the power of the masses. Trying to flee after causing trouble and assault? Not a chance!
Eula's large sword dragged across the ground, emitting a grating sound with sparks flying everywhere.
"I'll remember this debt!" she declared coldly, effortlessly lifting Lin Feng by one arm and slinging him over her shoulder.
With her other hand gripping the sword, the onlookers hastily stepped back, clearing a path for Eula. As expected, bystanders were always quick to observe but slow to intervene.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Eula carried the oddly dressed man out of Mondstadt.
"You've ruined my pigeons..." Timmie started, but before he could finish, Eula's icy glare frightened him, and he tearfully ran home to his mother.
"Can you please put me down? Now I can see again, just a little bit!" Lin Feng pleaded weakly to Eula.
"This way, we'll travel faster!" she responded coldly, focusing solely on her journey ahead.
"Hit the road?" Lin Feng felt terrified; he had just died not too long ago, and he certainly didn't want to experience that excruciating pain of his head exploding again.
"Oh, come on now! Weren't you shamelessly bold just moments ago? Already backing down?" The System taunted relentlessly in Lin Feng's mind, seizing the opportunity to vent its anger.
"You dare to chirp at me again! Look at other systems - they either provide gear or medicinal pills. Can't you at least give me some blue pills?" Lin Feng couldn't resist criticizing the System daily, as if it was an itch needing constant scratching.
Fortunately, these conversations occurred solely within his mind; otherwise, people might have thought him insane.
In Lin Feng's thoughts, an image of a smartphone appeared.
"And showing me this outdated phone? What use is it here? Wake up, times have changed!" Without hesitation, Lin Feng launched into another rant, almost reflexively by now.
"Take a closer look at this world before dismissing my offer!" Surprisingly, Lin Feng detected a hint of arrogance in the System's robotic voice.
"What world? Teyvat Continent, the place I've been wreaking havoc on every day..." Still grumbling, Lin Feng suddenly realized that smartphones could be considered groundbreaking technology in this realm, opening up exciting possibilities for the future!
"Ahem, System! I admit my attitude was inappropriate earlier; please accept my sincerest apologies!" Lin Feng's tone immediately softened. This wasn't surrendering; it's called being adaptable and resilient, enduring hardships for future gains.
"Enduring hardships? What else do you plan to achieve?" the System promptly retorted.
"Haha, just joking, joking." Realizing his mistake, Lin Feng had inadvertently revealed his thoughts through spoken dialogue.
"It's not that this system won't give chances; after all, young ones tend to make errors. Just bow down, call me 'Grandpa,' and I'll let it slide!" the System responded with evident arrogance.
"Should I also burn incense and set up a memorial tablet for you?" Lin Feng quickly fired back, showing he wasn't one to be easily intimidated.
"Sigh, what a pity then. With my assistance, someone could have truly made waves in Teyvat. Alas, truly unfortunate!" The System expressed regret but primarily aimed to mock him.
"Oh, come on, dear System, Sys-sys, help me out, will ya?" Suddenly, Lin Feng switched to an overly sweet and pleading tone, catching the System off guard.
"Stop! I'll help you, but you're about to make my CPU smoke!" The System hastily called for a halt, amazed by such shamelessness.
Lin Feng, victorious in his initial plea, naturally didn't press further; even he found it nauseating.
"Gurgle..." Lin Feng's stomach protested audibly—he was hungry!
Eula, however, showed no reaction, acting like an emotionless walking machine, with no indication of where she intended to take him.
"Hey, Eula, little Yoyo, are you hungry?" Lin Feng cautiously asked.
Taken aback, Eula abruptly tossed Lin Feng onto the ground. His words were utterly revolting, and she had an urge to tear his mouth apart!
"Aiyo, my butt! You owe me now!" Lin Feng clung tightly to Eula's leg, pressing his face firmly against it, embodying shamelessness at its peak.
"If you don't let go, nobody will know if you die here!" Eula glared coldly at Lin Feng, baffled by this level of brazenness.
"I won't let go, not even if you beat me to death. As a blind man left alone here, freezing to death is just as likely. If that's the case, dying from your blows seems preferable!"
Lin Feng refused to release his grip, determined to carry his shameless act to the end.
"If you had this spirit years ago, would you still be single for over two decades?" The System couldn't resist another chance to mock him.
"Grumble..." Lin Feng's stomach growled again, and his entire body trembled from the cold, which also transmitted through his hands onto Eula.
"Esteemed Lady Spindrift Knight, might I humbly request something to fill my empty stomach!" Lin Feng awkwardly pleaded, feeling truly unable to endure both hunger and freezing temperatures any longer.
His voice quivered slightly, and his pale lips indicated that he was genuinely falling ill.
Lin Feng slowly closed his eyes, his hands weakly releasing their grip as he collapsed onto the pristine snow-covered ground.
In the last moment before losing consciousness, Lin Feng felt immense regret—regretting ever attempting to scam Eula, regretting...
Eula initially started to walk away but paused after just a few steps. She turned back, cradling Lin Feng in her arms. Unable to bear the guilt within her, despite suspecting his intentions, she couldn't deny her own role in escalating the situation!
When Lin Feng regained consciousness, he opened his eyes and took in the room's layout. It was neatly arranged with a touch of warmth, accompanied by a faint, refreshing fragrance.
Eula re-entered the room, carrying a porcelain bowl. Lin Feng hadn't had a chance to observe his surroundings earlier, but now he took a closer look.
Eula's short blue hair, with white tips, was adorned by a black lace headband secured on one side with a metallic four-leaf clover hairpin.
She wore a sleek, all-black bodysuit with a thinner fabric strip down the middle, and her Cryo Vision was pinned to the feathered shoulder adornment on her front shoulder.
"Take your medicine!" Eula commanded coldly upon seeing Lin Feng awake, placing the bowl nearby.
"How about you feed me..." Before Lin Feng could finish, Eula shot him a fierce glare. He quickly stopped talking and gulped down a large mouthful from the porcelain bowl.
Almost instantly, Lin Feng nearly gagged due to its extreme bitterness. Holding his nose, he managed to drink it all.
"Gurgle..." Lin Feng's stomach protested once again, but Eula promptly left without responding.
After Eula departed, Lin Feng stood up and carefully examined the room. It had an antique charm, though surprisingly, the bedspread was pink—a hint at Eula's softer, girlish side that one might not expect.
Suddenly, catching sight of something through the window, Lin Feng's nose started bleeding profusely.
