Chapter 40: Osaka

It's often said that people from Osaka have a higher rate of being light drinkers compared to other regions in Japan.

Some speculate that this is due to the relatively warm climate, or perhaps because of the mingling of foreign blood in ancient times. Whatever the reason, I too am not particularly strong when it comes to alcohol.

The drinks in this world are generally low in alcohol content — although distilled spirits do exist — so those with a high alcohol tolerance can drink quite a lot without getting drunk. However, my face was already starting to flush.

With the alcohol taking effect, my thoughts were becoming slightly foggy, leading to a more uninhibited conversation.

"But if Eia was already strong, getting her sword back makes her unbeatable, doesn't it?"

"I'm definitely the strongest in the world, but I can't afford to be complacent. There are a lot of strong opponents out there."
